It looks like Ivanka Trump is maintaining her efforts to keep her distance from her dad, Donald Trump, especially now that he’s been indicted for his role in the Stormy Daniels hush money case.
On Friday, she offered a short, 15-word statement, but it’s interesting because news of the indictment broke Thursday at 6:30 p.m. but she remained mum about this until Friday morning, meaning she waited more than 12 hours to issue her insipid remarks.
“I love my father, and I love my country,” she posted. “Today, I am pained for both.”
Her dad could get freezer burn from that response. Ouch!

Ivanka has spent the last several months putting miles between herself and her father thanks to her family’s increasing legal woes and has been quiet on social media except for earlier this week when she wished her seven-year-old son Theo.
“Happy 7th Birthday to our sweet Theo!”
“You bring so much joy and love into our lives every day with your kind, positive, and energetic spirit. I love you to the moon and back again!”
“May this year bring you laughter, love, adventure and many more trips to the skate park!”

The indictment is still under seal, but it’s believed that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has charged Trump with more than two dozen counts in the hush money indictment, The New York Times [5] reports. Maggie Haberman, who reports on all things Trump, says [6] this is a “really scary moment” for the disgraced former president.
Trump, of course, predicted [7] that he would be arrested last week on Truth Social and encouraged his supporters to “protest, take our nation back!”
And as you might expect, Republicans went bazinga when Trump’s indictment was announced Thursday, with even Ron DeSantis (who is probably not one of Trump’s biggest admirers right now) saying [8] he won’t assist in Trump’s extradition from Florida to New York. Donald Trump Jr. really lost it and joined in with the MAGA QAnon crazies in a Rumble post.
“[George] Soros-backed Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg is actually indicting my fahter. This is communist-level s***. This is stuff that would make Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot — it would make them blush. It’s so flagrant. It’s so crazed.”

And that isn’t the only dumb thing he’s said. He’s also repeating the Republican dog whistle that trans people are becoming “radicalized.”
Maybe the trans community is becoming radicalized and committing atrocities because morons like this are leading them to believe that they’re LITERALLY being attacked, that they’re LITERALLY going through a genocide… LITERALLY! pic.twitter.com/W5U8u78iWx [12]

In some ways, it’s better that Ivanka is keeping quiet. It’s certainly less offensive than her brother’s idiocy. Earlier this month, she attempted to distance herself from the $250 million fraud lawsuit filed against her dad and she and her brothers, and the Trump Organization by asserting [14] she had nothing to do with any of her father’s financial statements.
And folks who know Ivanka say she’s becoming increasingly independent. Some have recently told People [15] magazine that she no longer maintains a professional relationship with her father.
Many felt the statement said a lot about her how she feels about her father:
“I love my father, and I love my country. Today, I am pained for both.”
Ivanka Trump’s only statement about the indictment
Not exactly a ringing endorsement for daddy dearest..

Poor Ivanka, she wants to get back to the NY social scene so badly. This statement combined with her paid pr piece in People makes it obvious she misses the access. I can only hope that the memories and grudges of socialites last forever.

Although @realDonaldTrump [18]’s adult boys were quick to defend pops after indictment. Daddy’s girl Ivanka, who served in his admin & made lots of money, wasn’t as gung-ho in her statement on Friday: “I love my father, and I love my country. Today, I am pained for both.”🙄🤦🏾♂️ #BOSpoli [19] pic.twitter.com/x9VihpadAl [20]

Huh. Ivanka Trump’s statement of support after her father’s indictment is less than, um, full-throated…

Ivanka's statement: interesting; she was very subdued in her appreciation to all who were supportive of Daddy-o.
Could she & hubby be laying low, almost like slinking away, hoping to stay out of the prosecutors' reach for fear of investigations into them? Nah, can't be! 🤭— Just a gal who loves animals and books (@Nikkis_bff) March 31, 2023 [23]
After ivanka's statement today, we know which of his kids this was aimed at.
"But if you don't love your children so much, and there are some people who don't, and maybe deservedly so. It won't matter because frankly you don't have to leave them anything." https://t.co/3hM7yL0ery [24]
