Trump Asks Advisers for ‘Battle Plans’ So He Can Attack Mexico When He’s Reelected

Technically, Donald Trump wants to take out drug cartels and their labs. But given the fact that Trump doesn’t care if Mexico says “NO,” indeed – he doesn’t even plan to ask for permission, he would be, in effect, be declaring war on Mexico because he plans on using the United States military. Mexico would have every right under the laws of warfare to send a bomber over the Air Force base in San Antonio or drop a bomb on an aircraft carrier in San Diego. Of course, that won’t happen. But it is Mexico’s right to defend its territory if attacked.

Oh, and if you are going to “bomb” drug cartel labs, wouldn’t you also want troops on the ground making sure none of the heavily armed foot soldiers get away?

He wants the U.S. military to blow up places in Mexico and kill certain Mexican citizens without worrying about a trial or even permission. It is like he thinks he is Putin:

Remember, Mexico is an American ally. Only Donald Trump believes Mexico is an enemy:

DONALD TRUMP IS asking for a plan to wage war in Mexico, and the Republican Party is eager to give it to him. As he campaigns for a second White House term, Trump has been asking policy advisers for a range of military options aimed at taking on Mexican drug cartels, including strikes that are not sanctioned by Mexico’s government, according to two sources familiar with the situation.

The first rule of warfare is to not allow your enemy to know you’re coming and what you’re planning. The cartels operate close enough to a military that you want to be far more quiet and secretive.

“‘Attacking Mexico,’ or whatever you’d like to call it, is something that President Trump has said he wants ‘battle plans’ drawn for,” says one of the sources. “He’s complained about missed opportunities of his first term, and there are a lot of people around him who want fewer missed opportunities in a second Trump presidency.”

Ultimately, Trump is a coward. He will only war on something “easy” – something that cannot fire back.

Trump lieutenants have briefed him on several options that include unilateral military strikes and troop deployments on a sovereign U.S. partner and neighbor, the sources say. One such proposal that Trump has been briefed on this year is an October white paper from the Center for Renewing America, an increasingly influential think tank staffed largely by Trumpist wonks, MAGA loyalists, and veterans of his administration.

He is just dying to use all that power now. Putin’s showing him how it is done. Imagine Donald Trump commanding the U.S. military again.
