Trump is psychologically incapable of just “leaving something alone.”
Earlier today, DeSantis sounded so sweet and supportive of Trump when talking about “political prosecutions.” Then DeSantis proceeded to hammer Trump’s fat little fingers as he laid out exactly what Trump did to earn all this attention while not necessarily calling it a crime:

DeSantis continued his less direct tactic on Monday, even as he bashed the investigation as politically motivated.
“I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. I just I can’t speak to that,” DeSantis said before a crowd of supporters, who laughed at the remarks.
And Trump simply couldn’t let it go. Trump has far more pressing problems to worry about right now and yet finds time to not only suggest that DeSantis partied with high school girls as a young teacher but possibly high school “guys” with a gay/grooming accusation:
Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he’s unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are “underage” (or possibly a man!). I’m sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!
And first Trump posted this, but deleted it for a far worse post:
