Judge in E. Jean Carroll Case Is Already Beyond Furious With Trump, and He’s Not Even There, ‘Totally Inappropriate!’

Well, that didn’t take long. It’s only been one day since the beginning of E. Jean Carroll’s civil trial, and the judge is already reprimanding the former president. Considering that Trump has now been indicted and arrested, you’d think Trump might have learned to keep his mouth shut.

But nope. You’d be wrong.

He’s creating a stir even though he decided to forgo appearing in court by pretending benevolence…because he didn’t want to cause any traffic jams, Uproxx reports.

I’m sure.

The civil trial centers on Carroll’s allegations that Trump raped her in the mid-1990s in the dressing room of Bergdorf Goodman, a Manhattan department store, and since he won’t shut up on social media, the judge has already been forced to reprimand him. Right before Carroll’s testimony, Trump attacked her on Truth Social with this gem:

“The E. Jean Carroll case, Ms. Bergdorf Goodman, is a made up SCAM. Her lawyer is a political operative, financed by a big political donor that they said didn’t exist, only to get caught lying about that. Just look at her CNN interview before & after the commercial break — like a different person. She said there was a dress, using the ol’ Monica Lewinsky “stuff,” then she didn’t want to produce it. The dress should be allowed to be part of the case. This is a fraudulent & false story—Witch Hunt!”

He followed that up an hour later with:

“They got caught lying! The Miss Bergdorf Goodman case is financed by a big political donoar that they tried to hide. Does anybody believe that I would take a then almost 60 year old woman (Carroll is 79 now, so how does that math work?) that I didn’t know, from the front door of a very crowded department store, (with me being very well known, to put it mildly!), into a tiny dressing room, and … her. She didn’t scream? There are no witnesses? Nobody saw this? She never made a police complaint? If I was seen there with a woman-BIG PRESS. SCAM!”

Social media, by its very nature, is immediate and instantaneous, which means these messages can be interpreted as a form of witness intimidation. Carroll’s lawyer didn’t hesitate to bring Trump’s posts to the attention of Judge Lewis Kaplan, who called the posts “entirely inappropriate,” according to Raw Story.

Trump’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina tried to do a bit of damage control, even though he knows Trump will do and say whatever he wants, whenever he wants. Nevertheless, he told Judge Kaplan that he would “try to address that with my client” and ask him to quit commenting about the case publicly.

“Well, I hope you’re more successful,” Kaplan said, appearing not entirely convinced that talking to Trump would make him behave. And the judge warned Tacopina that his client “may or may not be tampering with a new source of potential liability … And I think you know what I mean.”

Trump has quieted down about this. For the moment. Right now he’s busy attacking Hunter Biden again. Will he keep his mouth shut?

Only time will tell.
