Melania got everything she wanted when she married Trump. A life of ultra-luxury that allowed her to focus on her only love, “Melania.” (Barron is an extension of Melania, we are not so cynical as to doubt her love of her son.) She even got a bonus, she got to play princess and live in a big White House in Washington, where the cameras were always on her.

In a sign of how “deep” their love has always been, Melania seems to be headed out the door before things get really ugly. Trump faces possible criminal charges up and down the East Coast and a run for the presidency that isn’t going to be anywhere near as exciting. He is losing money hand over fist.

Now would be the time to get out!

Surely she has quite the prenuptial agreement, one renegotiated when she had the most power she would ever have, right as he entered the White House. She could’ve divorced him right then and found cameras and spilled all his secrets. She has a huge settlement awaiting. If she wants it, now is the time.

According to the National Enquirer – which is often correct in stories like this – she’s moving toward divorce. Remember The Enquirer was the outlet that broke the John Edwards story, which ended up being totally true. They also broke the story that Rush Limbaugh was addicted to painkillers, which was also correct. They were the first to report that Tiger Woods was having an extra-marital affair while married to his first wife. So, yeah, the National Enquirer is often a punchline, but they are also often right, which is why they are rarely sued.

Reporting from BoingBoing specializes in “doubting” stories that appear in the major gossip mags and seems to see it as a long shot. I totally disagree. Boing Boing doesn’t provide a link to the Enquirer, this is their write-up:

It’s also wishful thinking to imagine that Melania would divorce Trump while he is running for another four years in the White House: four years that would prolong her elevated status and once again shield Trump from prosecution.

She didn’t appear to like being FLOTUS the first time around. Many people believe she wants to head to Europe, for Barron to be educated in the EU. Barron has joint US-Slovenian citizenship, which would make it easier for him to work for the Trump Organization in Europe, which was reportedly what the new prenup was about that kept Melania from moving to DC when her husband was inaugurated. Now would be the time.

The ‘Enquirer’ claims that Melania is seeking a divorce because she is “totally revolted” by renewed allegations that Trump had a fling with former porn star Stormy Daniels. Revolted she may be, but the revelations emerged five years ago, and were told in stomach-churning detail in her 2018 tell-all book, so it’s not as though the affair or Trump’s abusive behavior would come as a surprise.

I don’t buy the “revolted” excuse, either. She knew who she married. He was a serial philanderer all her life. The “revolting” part is it made her look like a fool. If she were the only one who knew, Melania likely wouldn’t have done anything. I believe he “loved” her as much as he could anyone. He respected her viewpoint. We have done many stories in which we wrote that they dine together all the time. She is a trusted adviser, no more. They don’t sleep together. They’re in separate condos at Mar-a-Lago. Married by certificate only.

Financially, she has to get out now. The Trump Org was found guilty. Trump is going to spend a fortune on lawyers and his “brand” has taken a fatal hit except among maybe 40% of Americans. Tops.

And as Trump’s luckless third wife, the Slovenian former model would unquestionably have signed a prenuptial agreement, taking most of his empire off the table in any divorce battle, though she reportedly renegotiated the prenup to benefit her son Barron after Trump first won the White House.

“Luckless”? Pffft. And given that there is a set figure and a guarantee that Barron will have a place in the Trump Org – whatever is left of it, she got the best of him (If it turns out to be true), and was very lucky to do so. She should get out now while there’s something to get out of.

Oh, and she better head to Europe. Perhaps Slovenia. Her name is on all those jointly filed tax returns.
