2024 Election

Trump Finally Did It: Just Sent the Stupidest, Most Ridiculous and Uneducated Post on Truth Social of All Time

Now that Dominion Voting Systems has settled with Fox News, former President Donald Trump thinks he also deserves a payout.

I won’t comment on what he really deserves because I share my stories on Facebook and do not wish to incur the wrath of the Facebook Gods. However, now that Dominion and Fox agreed to settle the $1.6 billion lawsuit in April, Trump is, unsurprisingly, playing the “oh poor me game” on Truth Social.

The lawsuit is just one of many addressing commentary by Fox News hosts regarding the legitimacy of the 2020 election. The lawsuit stems from the privately-owned voting machine company, which challenged Fox News’ claims about Dominion regarding the election. The companies agreed to a $787.5 million settlement. Now Trump thinks it’s only fair that he be compensated for the pain that he believes media organizations caused him.

Even if he brought all of it on by himself.

“Dominion gets almost a Billion Dollars and I, after years of Fake News, Hoaxes, Scams, and Investigations, am entitled to NOTHING? Is that really the way it’s supposed to work? I don’t think so!” Trump thundered on Truth Social Tuesday.

Of course, the reason he’s having conniptions Tuesday is because his media group filed a lawsuit against The Washington Post Saturday. And according to more than a few experts, this is a lawsuit that “doesn’t make any sense.” Trump Media and Technology Group, which is behind Truth Social, is seeking $3.78 billion in damages from the Post, claiming it poses an “existential threat” to the group after engaging in a “years-long crusade” against the company.

His Truth Social rant today comes on the heels of the lawsuit his media group filed against The Washington Post on Saturday. That lawsuit, experts have said, “doesn’t make any sense.” Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), which is behind the former president’s Truth Social platform, is seeking $3.78 billion in damages from the newspaper over claims it poses an “existential threat” to the company after engaging in a “years-long crusade” against the company.

Well, TMTG was formed in 2021, so I don’t know how that constitutes a “years-long crusade.”

“I don’t even think [Trump Media and Technology Group] is worth $1 billion, so how are they injured to the point where the business is worthless based on certain statements in this article? It just doesn’t make any sense,” said Camron Dowlatshahi, a Los Angeles-based employment and defamation attorney.

Trump has been bellyaching about “fake news” for years and continues to argue that the 2020 election was rigged in favor of President Joe Biden, despite a tsunami of lawsuits that showed otherwise. The claim resulted in national turmoil and led to the attempted siege of the U.S. Capitol in January 2021. Now these claims are turning into the backbone of Trump’s 2024 presidential election bid, and right now, he leads the Republican candidates.

And the former president faces legal woes over his baseless claims. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis still has him in her crosshairs as she continues to investigate whether Trump’s comment to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” the votes he needed to win the state was an illegal attempt to overturn the election. Why Trump continues to refer to the call as “perfect” is anyone’s guess.

Then of course, there’s the controversial Town Hall he did on May 10, where he made it more than clear to CNN host Kaitlan Collins that he wasn’t going to drop his election fraud claims any time soon.

Collins pressed him on the legitimacy of the claims, but Trump pushed back, steadfastly saying he believed election fraud was the reason he lost the 2020 election. Then someone in the crowd questioned Trump about whether he’ll quit making “polarizing” comments about election fraud during his 2024 presidential bid.

Trump said he would suspend the polarizing talk unless he believed election fraud had occurred (which, of course, means he won’t stop talking about it). He’s also hinted the polarizing talk will be part of the 2024 election after ranting last Wednesday that the FBI and Department of Justice were conducting multiple investigations to attempt to conduct interference in the 2024 election.

Trump agreed to suspend the polarizing talk, unless he believed election fraud had occurred, which he has already hinted would be present in the 2024 election when he raged last Wednesday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Justice were conducting multiple investigations in a conspiracy to interfere in the 2024 election.

Well, if Trump is going to request a payout he doesn’t deserve, I’m going to join in. My house needs a new roof and I have no health insurance.

I could sure use it.
