Trump Just Can’t Stop Attacking E. Jean Carroll — Now He’s Stooping to Vile New Lows on Truth Social

Donald Trump never seems to learn. He never shuts up, even when it obviously gets him into trouble. He’s continuing to defame writer E. Jean Carroll again, this time calling her a “stalker”— this time, mind you, for a Facebook post she wrote in 2012. Her post was even complimentary and she called herself a “massive fan” of The Apprentice, the reality TV show that Trump hosted.

It strikes me as weird that she was a “fan” of the show, given the fact that earlier this month a Manhattan jury found that Trump sexually abused her in the mid-1990s and defamed her. But whatever.

On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump shared Carroll’s 2012 post and then asked, “Is she, in actuality, a stalker?” The Independent reports.

Trump has made numerous allegedly defamatory statements about Carroll, formerly an advice columnist for Elle Magazine, since he was found liable by a civil jury for her sexual assault and defamation trial.

Now Carroll’s attorneys have filed an amended complaint on her pending defamation lawsuit against the former president. Filed earlier this week, the complaint will include smears against her at Trump’s CNN town hall event.

Carroll, 78, faced a fusillade of questions under cross-examination during the trial in reference to old texts and social media posts where she mentioned being a fan of The Apprentice. She told the jury she’d written several Facebook posts in support of two friends who were appearing on the show. And she noted that she enjoyed The Apprentice’s “witty competition,” but usually turned the TV off when Trump would fire contestants at the end of the show.

During the trial, Dr. Leslie Lebowitz, a clinical psychologist hired by Carroll’s attorneys, told the jury that the longtime Elle columnist suffered a panic attack when she was shown an Apprentice episode by a television network.

“She became so flooded with memories, with a sense of panic, that she lost her capacity to speak,” Lebowitz told the jury.

The jury found Trump liable for sexually assaulting Carroll in the dressing room of a noted Manhattan department store and later harming her reputation by repeatedly denying the assault ever happened and subsequently awarded her $5 million.

You’d think Trump would keep his trap shut after this, but you’d be wrong. He just can’t seem to do it. Mere hours after her lawyers formally asked to amend her remaining lawsuit defamation suit against him to include his attacks on her at the town hall event, Trump launched into this diatribe on Truth Social:

“I don’t know E. Jean Carroll, I never met her or touched her (except on a celebrity line with her African American husband who she disgustingly called the ‘Ape’),” Trump complained. “I wouldn’t want to know or touch her, I never abused her or raped her or took her to a dressing room 25 years ago in a crowded department store where the doors are LOCKED, she has no idea when, or did anything else to her, except deny her Fake, Made Up Story, that she wrote in a book. IT NEVER HAPPENED, IS A TOTAL SCAM, UNFAIR TRIAL!”

It really makes you wonder what is wrong with this man. He just never gets it. There’s a time to talk and a time to shut up and he continues to act as if he’s invincible. He’s now being sued for $10 million by Carroll’s team and yet he’s still yammering about it.

Incredible.
