Americans FURIOUS After LIV Golfer Says We Should Forgive the Saudis for 9/11 Cause It’s Been 20 Years Already, Cut Them a Break!
Good God this is just so awful.
In an absolutely horrible interview to watch on CNN, LIV Golf player Bryson DeChambeau defended the PGA Tour’s merger with the Saudi-funded league and seemed not to care at all about the many moral objections over Saudi human rights abuses.
When asked about a scathing statement put out by 9/11 Families United on the deal, DeChambeau expressed “deep sympathy” and “huge amount of respect” for the families, but then proceeded to dig himself into a giant hole.
“Twenty years has passed, and we’re in a place now where it’s time to start trying to work together to make things better together,” he said. “We got to look toward a pathway to peace and forgiveness especially if we’re trying to mend the world and make it a better place, I think is what LIV and PIF are trying to accomplish.”
Uhh, too soon dude.

Too motherf*cking soon. It will never be ok to forgive the Saudis for what they did. And to respond that way to the families who lost loves ones on that day? Jeez. Glad you got your $125 million in blood money from the Saudis, you are repulsive. And I’m just going to say it, there’s no doubt this awful creature is a Trump supporter.
LIV, funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has been accused of “sportwashing” the country’s many wrongdoings. “It’s unfortunate what has happened but that is not something I can speak on because I’m a golfer,” DeChambeau said. “But what I can say is that, what they’re trying to do is be better allies.”

People were furious at his response, and hit out HARD:
Is he saying the 9/11 families should forgive Saudi Arabia so that he can play golf and make money?

I like Bryson just about as much as a wet fart in a hot car.

Bryson’s “pathway to peace” is making nine-figures off this man’s blood. pic.twitter.com/Aq4n3zC2fP

I've never heard someone stretch "I got a giant pile of money and that's all that matters" into a 5+ minute statement before.

I’ve never seen anyone use so many words and not say I DID IT FOR THE MONEY

He’s drunk with money and talking points. He’s even throwing back on camera. Sell outs. I hope many of them have ethics and choose a different path

“I mean…like…so they killed and chopped into pieces one dude and that was, like, years ago. Nobody’s perfect but they’re trying to be.”

His attempt at an answer to the question on the 9/11 victims was abhorrent.
Spoken like a true shill.

20 years. That’s his angle. 20 years is enough time to get over 9/11. Jamal Khashoggi wasn’t dismembered 20 years ago.
