Melania and Ivanka Trump are an interesting study in contrasts. There have been many reports over the years that the two main women in Donald Trump’s life do not like each other. And the two women have diverse personalities, although that may be changing because Ivanka has been keeping to herself for the most part lately.

The former First Lady has vowed to stand by her husband, Donald Trump, despite the legal turmoil he’s in, PageSix reports. He’s facing scores of charges related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents, but Melania plans to stay quietly if stonily by his side.

“She is used to this,” says an insider. “They are used to dealing with this stuff.”

According to another source, “Melania is standing by her husband, but quietly and privately. He’s been on the phone with Melania, who’s supporting him 100 percent. They both knew this — and more — was coming.”

And of course, as you know unless you live in a cave, Trump was arrested and arraigned in April on charges stemming from alleged hush-money payments he made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

After his arraignment Trump returned to his private golf club in New Jersey and melodramatically DJ’d opera from an iPad when news of the indictment broke. Melania, for her part, was observed looking rather stone-faced in New York City.

“[Melania] flew to the East Coast to see her mother in the apartment she personally decorated for her with a designer,” another source said. “She even chose the fabrics herself at the D&D building. She will meet up with Donald at Trump Tower, where he has legal meetings.”

The insider said the Trumps now plan to jet back to their Palm Beach golf club.

“Trump will be back at Mar-a-Lago, where his security is [better] and she will be with him,” another source says. “But she won’t be with him when he surrenders himself to authorities.”

And let’s be real, Melania obviously got a very sweet post-nuptial agreement that gave her even more money and security provided she remains married to Trump and supports him through not only another campaign and possible presidency (can’t believe I’m saying that), but now another indictment. Remember Melania remained in NYC in 2017 when Trump moved into the White House and didn’t move in herself until she secured her and Barron a nice little financial package. Obviously we don’t know what Melania was promised to stay this time, but we’re sure it’s HUGE. Because it’s fairly obvious that Melania is extremely unhappy, and would much rather take Barron to Europe and live the life of a rich divorcee than remain with a repugnant criminal.

Trump is scheduled to surrender in a Miami federal court Tuesday, where he will be fingerprinted and booked. Then he’ll face a judge who will set conditions for his release after hearing from lawyers on both sides.

Melania was not on hand in New York City when he was indicted in April, and she wasn’t present for his post-arraignment speech at Mar-a-Lago.

According to Page Six, caring for her son Barron, 17, is her main priority.

But legal issues aside, Trump has no plans to drop out of the 2024 presidential race one insider says.

“He is not dropping out of the election,” the source said. “He will still be campaigning. It’s business as usual.”

And according to another insider, “Melania knows what she signed up for. She is in a wait-and-see position. He’ll either be in prison or be President (ugh). Or both. It’s not a time for fighting within the family.”

But there is one family member who’s quite likely to not be around. Ivanka Trump, who lives in Miami, “Will be staying far away from daddy,” one person added.

“Ivanka has disappeared,” another insider said.

The former First Daughter has worked to distance herself from her father during his latest run for the White House. When dear old Dad was indicted on charges stemming from the Daniels case, she did make a brief statement saying “I love my father and I love my country. Today, I am pained for both. I appreciate the voices across the political spectrum expressing support and concern.”

Another source, talking to Page Six at the time that Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, “want nothing to do with this.”

It’s easy to understand why. The insider reminded us that “Ivanka lost a lot of friends and her social scenes during his presidency… They want to put it in the rearview. They want it behind them.”

The former president pleaded not guilty to 34 New York state counts of falsifying business records related to the Daniels hush money case and he’s due back in Manhattan Criminal Court on December 4.

So while Melania adheres to her husband, Ivanka seems to have finally understood he’s worth avoiding. She was once the daughter who continually did Dad’s bidding, while Melania was frequently nowhere to be seen. But her father is like a derailed train and there’s bound to be a crash.
