Sealed Court Records Show Trump Isn’t the Only Defendant — There Could Be Up to FOUR Other Co-Defendants

Guys, indictment day is getting even better! As most know by now, the indictment for Donald Trump’s missing document case is sealed, meaning, we don’t know anything with 100% certainty yet. Trump’s lawyer Jim Trusty said on CNN that they haven’t seen it, they simply received a summons via email with instructions to be at the Miami Federal Courthouse on Tuesday at 3:00pm, or else.

Obviously everyone and their mother was trying to see the indictment. In fact, so many people were looking for it that the South Florida US Court District’s PACER system completely crashed Thursday night as reporters and legal minds rushed to see what exactly Trump has been charged with. I mean we are hearing THE ESPIONAGE ACT, and that’s as serious as it gets. That means no holding public office. It’s also just a brutal charge and will be the one that makes his supporters raise an eyebrow. If his supporters hear “conspiracy” or “obstruction of justice” they will just scream WITCH HUNT! Or HILLARY DID IT! But espionage? Spying? It’s tough to call yourself a patriot and then approve of that charge in any way.

As we learned from our favorite people over at National Zero, the staff at the legal blog Lawfare were able to get into PACER and as expected, it is sealed.

When Trusty appeared on CNN, he did hint that Trump did not act alone. And now we’ve learned that the criminal docket in the Southern District of Florida, actually shows five sealed cases handed up today, two of them with successive case numbers. This may, or may not, suggest that there might be other defendants in the case.

The Southern District of Florida, actually shows five sealed cases handed up today, two of them with successive case numbers. This may, or may not, suggest that there might be other defendants in the case.

The Messenger reveals that since two of the case numbers are successive, it could possibly be one co-defendant, but could be up to four.

From The Messenger:

“A second person is expected to be charged alongside former President Donald Trump in the handling of classified documents, a law enforcement source told The Messenger.

It’s unclear if the unidentified second defendant will be named in the same indictment as Trump or in a separate charging document, the source added.”

Interesting! I have a feeling if there is a co-defendant, it’s most likely one of the Mar-a-Lago workers who helped hide the documents and knew about it, and did it anyway. It’s going to be a long 5 days until we are able to fill in all the blanks!
