Hateful Trump-Lover Laura Loomer Finally Goes Too Far With Despicable Post About Gabby Giffords

Laura Loomer, long known only by right-wing fans and people who watched her pathetically chain herself to the HQ of Twitter to get her account unsuspended, is back in the news. It’s not pretty.

This time, Loomer, a huge Trump fan, has gone after former congresswoman Gabby Giffords. Gabby is a national treasure from Arizona who only resigned after a conservative madman shot her in the face, trying to kill her.

Giffords is still active in politics. She is a gun control activist (naturally, after the attempt on her life), and is married to Arizona Senator Mark Kelly. You know, the astronaut.

Wait, could Loomer’s attack on the pair be because Kelly is on Kamala’s shortlist to be her running mate?

Whatever her reason, what she said was despicable. After Giffords endorsed Kamala Harris for president, Loomer disgustingly implied that Kelly had tweeted in on her behalf, calling her “brain dead” and insisting she “certainly isn’t tweeting on her own.”

In fact, it took Giffords a relatively short period of time to recover, considering the extent of her injuries. She suffered substantially more injury than a little poke on the ear, like Trump.

That’s not how Laura sees it:

Are you now using your wife’s X account to appeal to @KamalaHarris so she picks you as VP? I am from Tucson and have seen you and Gabby in public. She cannot read without her aid practicing her speech with her and she needs help getting her clothes on. She certainly isn’t tweeting on her own. Do you have any shame?”

I don’t worry about the reach of Laura Loomer’s tweets so much. She’s picked up by a pretty limited audience.

Unfortunately, at least one of the members of that audience — one of her biggest fans, in fact — is Donald Trump Junior. He’s even floated the idea of her being a press secretary, should his dad win again.

And we know how much dad values Junior’s say in this stuff. It was Junior who pretty much got his dad to pick his old pal JD Vance to run with him.

I only quoted what Loomer said because I don’t want to link directly to her tweets. Her account was reinstated when right-winger Elon Musk took over the site. Like Musk, Loomer is also an Islamophobe and a conspiracy theorist.

But by insulting not just Giffords, by Kelly as well, she’s really crossed a line as a nutcase.
