Now, bear with me a second, because I know the source is going to make you laugh. But if you think about it, Anthony Scaramucci is pretty much the ultimate authority on Trump changing his mind about hiring someone.
That has to be the wisdom at work when Scaramucci weighs in on things like this.
Over the weekend, “The Mooch” tweeted the suggestion that if Trump wants to have a prayer of getting elected again, he’s going to have to cut his losses and get rid of Vice Presidential hopeful JD Vance.
Trump has to replace Vance to get back in the race.

The implication is that Vance is actually worse than Trump, of course. Scaramucci has been critical of Trump ever since he was let go from his job as White House Director of Communications for the former president after only ten days.
If the guy who lasted so briefly that he got a unit of duration named after him (ten days is one Scaramucci; three Scaramuccis is a month) says someone might not be a good fit for the job, it should be considered sage advice.
Now, don’t get me wrong. Those who want to see Trump fail were quick to hold up their virtual hands in protest on social media. Some said things like “Don’t give him any ideas,” and “Keep it just like this,” with one even questioning, “Who do we want America’s Hitler back in the race?”
In reality, it’s hard to place odds on whether Trump would do something this drastic in as short a window of time as he has to do it. He has just a fraction of a Scaramucci left to change horses before early voting begins.
But to me, the chance of this happening seems slim.
Trump can always claim the left cheated if he loses, and as evidenced by the handmade yard signs across Trump country that all swear he actually won the 2020 election, the public that votes for him would believe him.
Admitting he was wrong about something, however, is one thing the former president absolutely hates to do. He’s already had to scramble to cover Vance after his bizarre ramblings about “childless cat ladies,” with the Tangerine Palpatine swearing that Vance just really, really loves families, which is why he mocked women who haven’t given birth.
Some pundits say it’s a possibility, but I think Trump is going to ride it out.
People on social had a field day:
He only has 5 days to do that and there is no way he will admit he made a wrong choice.

why .. it's so much fun seeing him sink … here for it all

Trump would have to either admit he was wrong (that's not going to happen), or Vance would have some "personal situation" come up that forces him to step down. It would have to be the latter.
I'll bookmark this and see if either happens.

But that would mean admitting he made a mistake

I think you’re stuck with Vance and you’ll have to carry him to full-term, even if still born on election night and it kills any chances if victory. It may be inconvenient, but it’s the right thing to do. God’s will and all that. pic.twitter.com/2gUrhE4Z2b [9]
