I won’t pretend to hide my disgust for guys who cheat. It’s not the absolute worst offense in the world, obviously, but it’s one of the worst that’s legal. When you betray someone — physically or emotionally — who you’re committed to, it’s a sure sign at least in my eyes that your values and morals are somewhat lacking.

On a related note, I can hardly even stand to say the name Trump.

Of all the things that I associate with the name, from gaudy gold tapestries to failed business endeavors, from palling around with criminals to committing crimes himself, the one thing that is cemented most in my brain is how much he’s cheated on the women in his life.

Maybe, for me, it has something to do with the fact that every one of his kids knows he cheated on every one of their moms. It’s not like I feel some special need to defend specifically the women — or kind of women — who have been with Donald Trump. It’s just that it’s been so blatant and disrespectful and gross. How any man could stomach his children knowing that he has no principles is beyond me.

In fact, the exact thing that I would worry about if I were the kind of guy to cheat with my kids aware of it has happened to Donald Trump, Jr. We’ve been reporting on his scandalous relationship with Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson since it became news. Until recently, it wasn’t even confirmed. But until today, we didn’t know what had driven Junior to even look outside his relationship with Kimberly Guilfoyle aside from the standard boorish urge to find a younger, prettier girlfriend before getting tied down again legally.

People Magazine is now reporting that not only has Junior’s affair with Anderson been going on for about 6 months (!), he even took her on a trip to Alaska and introduced her as his girlfriend to his friends there. That’s according to a “Trump insider,” who spoke to the outlet on the 11th.

But another “insider” spoke to People today, and told them that Junior sees Bettina as someone who fits in more with the family. His own “Melania Trump equivalent.” Melania famously met Donald Senior while he was on a date with another woman that he was cheating on his wife with.

“Don Jr. has always wanted to look good in his father’s eyes,” the source told PEOPLE. “Someone like Bettina, who is and has been a model, and is in Waspy circles of Palm Beach is something that would impress him.”

Even worse is the news that Junior — and his family — just plain didn’t like Kimberly Guilfoyle’s style. Another more political source told the magazine that “Don Jr. has been telling people for months that Kim is so uptight and always dresses so professionally in these kinds of dresses and high heels, and never looks relaxed or casual. The tight dresses need to go and she has been told that.”

That’s already just plain gross, but the story gets even worse. It turns out that it was Anderson’s idea to send Kim away, though it’s not known if Anderson specified it as an ambassadorship. “They are trying to send Kim abroad,” the source said. “They waited for the election to pass but they didn’t want the split to get in the way of anything to hurt Donald in the election.”

So everything is beginning to line up, and it turns out that essentially all of the rumors have been true the whole time.

For all of the scheming and plotting that the new couple and his family have been doing to edge Kimberly out of the picture, you’d think they might have been a little more discreet about the whole thing.

But Junior’s “farewell” message to Kim upon the announcement of Guilfoyle’s assignment to Greece was anything but delicate. US ambassadors to other countries traditionally live in the country they’re assigned to, meaning Guilfoyle would be relocating to Greece.

Via tweet, Junior seemed to confirm that he had zero intention of moving anywhere, and simply wished her luck in her new position.

Again, none of this actually comes as any more of a surprise than would news of Donald Senior cheating on Melania again. This is the level of behavior that we’ve come to expect from that name I hate to say.

But even if it was predictable or even expected, there is just an absolute mountain of disrespect happening in Trump world.
