Americans Disgusted After Kristi Noem Appears in Video Using Caged Prisoners as Backdrop (While Wearing $50K Rolex)
In a move that feels straight out of a dystopian reality show, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem recently took her tough-on-immigration stance to new, unsettling heights. During a visit to El Salvador’s notorious Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), Noem recorded a video message warning would-be migrants about the perils of entering the United States illegally. Her backdrop? A cramped prison cell teeming with detainees, all clad in matching white t-shirts and shorts, their heads freshly shaved.
In the video, Noem declares, “If you come to our country illegally, this is one of the consequences you can face.” The scene behind her resembles a sardine can packed with human beings, all huddled together on three-tiered metal beds. It’s the kind of imagery that might make even the most hardened political operatives cringe.
Critics were quick to pounce, accusing Noem of using these detainees as mere props in a political theater production. Journalist Zack Guzmรกn summed up the sentiment on social media, stating, “Regardless of political ideology, using human beings as background props in propaganda is nasty work.”
This spectacle is part of the Trump administration’s broader strategy to showcase its hardline immigration policies. By spotlighting the grim conditions that await deported migrants, officials hope to deter others from attempting the journey. However, this approach has sparked controversy, with many questioning the ethics of such tactics.
Adding another layer to this complex narrative, reports have emerged that nearly 300 Venezuelan migrants were deported to El Salvador under an 18th-century wartime law. Upon arrival, they were promptly incarcerated in CECOT, the very prison Noem used as her stage. This raises significant legal and humanitarian concerns about the treatment of migrants and the lengths to which the administration will go to enforce its policies.

In summary, Noem’s prison video serves as a stark reminder of the administration’s relentless pursuit of its immigration agenda. While intended as a deterrent, the optics of using caged individuals as political props may backfire, drawing more criticism than commendation. It’s a sobering illustration of how far some are willing to go in the name of policy enforcement, leaving many to question the humanity behind the headlines.
I toured the CECOT, El Salvadorโs Terrorism Confinement Center.
President Trump and I have a clear message to criminal illegal aliens: LEAVE NOW.
If you do not leave, we will hunt you down, arrest you, and you could end up in this El Salvadorian prison. pic.twitter.com/OItDqNsFxM

Americans were absolutely disgusted:
Those are human fucking beings behind you, not fucking props!!!!!!
That looks like a concentration camp.
This is utterly reprehensible.
Shame on you.— Jo (@JoJoFromJerz) March 27, 2025
Kristi Noem's fear-mongering at CECOT is a disgrace. Threatening immigrants with a prison known for torture and abuse is not leadership, it's cruelty. Her stance ignores due process and human rights, fueling a dangerous agenda. Shame on her.

Wearing what appears to be a $50k gold Rolex Daytona to film a threat of due-process free rendition to a third-world prison is a really special touch, Secretary.

There is so much wildly wrong with this video.
Concentration camp prisoners with no due process being displayed proudly by cosplay Barbie.Make no mistake though, Barbie is camera ready with her fake hair, tight clothes, fake boobs, botox and big lips.

You are among the biggest pieces of trash in a cabinet that is filled with human refuse. You cheated on your husband, you shot your dog, and all you do is travel around for photo opportunities with your fake hair.

As a Conservative this gives me TOTAL cringe. You missed it here Madame Secretary. It's embarrassing.

How sick can one be to pose in a sexy t-shirt, all made up for a promo video in front of men imprisoned in a notoriously vicious jail. @Sec_Noem . What kind of Christian are you to gloat at the suffering and humiliation of others ? https://t.co/jQwFTz7HcL
