Trump Rages at Fox News for Admitting ‘The President Is Under Water’

In a development that has left many observers unsurprised, Donald Trump’s approval ratings have taken a notable dip as he approaches the 100-day mark of his second term. According to a recent Fox News poll, his approval stands at 44%, trailing behind the early-term ratings of predecessors like Joe Biden, Barack Obama, and George W. Bush.

The economy, a focal point of Trump’s campaign promises, appears to be a significant factor in this decline. Only 37% of Americans approve of his handling of economic matters, with 53% expressing concern over their financial situationsโ€”the highest level of economic pessimism recorded since 2001.

Trump’s recent implementation of sweeping tariffs has further complicated matters. These measures have sparked trade tensions and market volatility, leading to increased fears of a potential recession. While the administration defends these tariffs as necessary for long-term economic health, public sentiment suggests a growing skepticism about their immediate impact.

On the issue of border security, Trump maintains a stronger position, with 55% approval. However, this support does not extend to broader immigration policies, where public opinion remains divided.

In response to the unfavorable poll results, Trump has publicly criticized media mogul Rupert Murdoch, accusing him of failing to address what he perceives as biased polling within Fox News. This reaction underscores the administration’s ongoing tensions with media outlets, including those traditionally seen as supportive.

Trump raged, “Rupert Murdoch has told me for years that he is going to get rid of his FoxNews, Trump Hating, Fake Pollster, but he has never done so. This โ€œpollsterโ€ has gotten me, and MAGA, wrong for years. Also, and while heโ€™s at it, he should start making changes at the China Loving Wall Street Journal. It sucks!!!”

As the administration navigates these challenges, the declining approval ratings highlight the complexities of governance and the importance of public perception in shaping a president’s legacy.
