Howard Stern Says Trump is Lying About His Abortion Stance, ‘He Probably Needed to Get Them for Some Women’

Howard Stern gave an interview on Monday where he reflected on his relationship with Donald Trump while casting doubt on the president’s sincerity as a social-conservative on matters like abortion.

The SiriusXM radio personality spoke to Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos about “Howard Stern Comes Again,” his new memoir about his years as a shock jock and his reflections on life following a cancer scare in 2016.

Of course, since Stern’s many interviews with Trump have taken on massive political significance over the last few years, George Stephanopoulos asked Stern if he thinks he helped the president win the White House.

Stern said his interviews “absolutely had a positive impact on Trump’s political fortunes, and he wished that he could’ve had Hillary Clinton on his show to do the same for her. Stern went on to express his doubt that Trump even wanted to be president, and he summarized his conflicted feelings about Trump by saying “The guy I knew…I didn’t know this was him.”

That’s when Stern suggested Trump is faking his anti-abortion position.

“I don’t believe his stance on abortion, for example. The Donald I know I think he’d probably get a few people abortions. I don’t know what he’s doing. The stance, the women don’t have a right to choose what — you don’t have to get an abortion. But if you want the right — I remember the days of women in the back alleys with coat hangers, that’s not acceptable.”

So, Trump is a big ol’ liar. Is anyone surprised?
