Alabama Students Warned They Will Be Punished If They Dare to Boo Trump During Football Game

Donald Trump spent the last couple of weeks attending sporting event in cities (Washington DC and New York) where he is immensely unpopular. This weekend he will be entering the friendlier ground of ruby red Alabama.

Trump will be attending the college football match-up between the University of Alabama and LSU in Tuscaloosa.

While Alabama is a red state, there is still likely to be students that would like to protest Trump’ appearance on campus. The schools student government association has warned students that anyone protesting the president’s visit will lose their tickets for the game and the remainder of the season.

This is a uniquely devastating penalty to University of Alabama students. The Crimson Tide is a national powerhouse and is currently ranked 2nd in the country. The opponent, Louisiana State, is ranked at number 1.

The warning to students came via a letter from Jason Rothfarb, the vice president of Student Affairs. The missive read, “Any organizations that engage in disruptive behavior during the game will be removed from block seating instantly for the remainder of the season.”

The letter also advised students to be in their seats well before the start of the game. “Due to an increase in security outside of the stadium, we anticipate that it will take an hour or more to get into the stadium. Consequently, it is imperative to fill your sections earlier than normal. We ask that members of your respective organizations enter the stadium no later than 12:30 PM for this weekend’s game.”
