MAJOR DAM BREAK: Chief of Staff Gen. Kelly Says He Believes Bolton — Chaos Coming

There is no way they can stop witnesses now.

Just breaking on MSNBC and in the New York Times, former Chief of Staff John Kelly put out a statement:

This is simply stunning, the political landscape and balance of power in this country is changing by the hour now.

There is not a chance that the Senate can hold back witnesses now. The former White House chief of staff, and a former four-star general says he believes Bolton, and that the Senate should call witnesses.

And if we get John Bolton as one witness, you will surely then see a major zoo-break, because Bolton is going to talk about telling Barr, and Mulvaney. Thus the Senate will need to call Barr and Mulvaney, and god only knows who else, maybe Pompeo and Pence. At that point, Barr and Mulvaney need to decide whether they want to go down for a man like Trump or just jump from the Titanic and take their chances in the frozen water of the Atlantic. I suspect that not a single one of these men want to spend a day in jail protecting Donald Trump as a man of principle.

A Senator interviewed on TV right now as I write (I am not sure which), just said that “momentum is building in the senate to call witnesses as part of the trial.”

Witnesses bring new facts, direct facts. The defense has been that lack of direct facts are the problem.

As we all know, facts are Trump kryptonite. Trump is lost and paralyzed whenever the truth gets near him.

We have known the truth for some time. Most of us, a long time. But the truth is apparently starting to run loose among Republican circles, and I sense the dam breaking.

Watch this space, as our sister Rachel always says.
