Bloomberg Mocks Trump for All His Lies, ‘His Fake Hair, His Obesity, and His Spray-On Tan’

Michael Bloomberg’s presidential campaign accused President Donald Trump of spreading false information about the former New York City mayor wanting to stand on a box at the Democratic debate to make him appear taller.

Bloomberg campaign spokeswoman Julie Wood mocked Trump’s appearance in a fiery statement Sunday while denying the claim.

“The president is lying. He is a pathological liar who lies about everything: his fake hair, his obesity, and his spray-on tan,” she told CNN.

Trump, 73, has made several claims about Bloomberg’s height.

“Now he wants a box for the debates to stand on. OK. It’s OK. There’s nothing wrong. You can be short. Why should he get a box to stand on? He wants a box for the debates. Why should he be entitled to that? Really. Does that mean everyone else gets a box?” Trump told Fox News’s Sean Hannity in an interview set to air Sunday before the Super Bowl.

In tweets early Sunday, Trump called his potential 2020 Democratic opponent “mini” while alleging again that Bloomberg wanted to stand on a box. Bloomberg, 77, is reportedly 5 feet, 8 inches tall, about half a foot shorter than Trump.

It’s not unusual for candidates to stand on raised platforms behind their lecterns on the debate stage to make all the candidates appear closer to the same height.
