Trump Enraged With Mulvaney: ‘Head on a Chopping Block’ — Days Numbered

Very few will be spared.

The raging blame simmering within Trump will find targets and one sits squarely atop Mick Mulvaney’s head. We learn this morning that Trump has been wanting to axe Mulvaney for months since Mulvaney acknowledged the quid pro quo at the disastrous press conference. But Trump’s other aides and his allies in the Senate have been telling Trump that firing Mulvaney in the middle of the impeachment process would have been disastrous and aroused suspicion.

Really? No shit?

“Because of the impeachment process, he [Trump] was told not to act on this — he was told not to act on his rage towards Mick Mulvaney,” she elaborated. “They didn’t want to add more chaos to an already chaotic situation. Instead, it’s over now, so we’ve learned from sources Mick Mulvaney says he’s also unhappy in this role; he knows it’s been diminished. But the big question remains, who would eventually fill that role?

That is cute.

Trump doesn’t care if anyone fills that role any more than he cares about filling any other role. We have massive departments that go without a real secretary, one confirmed by the Senate. Mulvaney was always “acting” chief of staff. Why would Trump want anyone around who might approach him with bad news?

Dictators always consolidate power. Always. They do not like spreading it around because it makes controlling people and events that much harder. Trump is paranoid about “leakers” and “bad people,” all out to get him. I seriously doubt he’ll appoint anyone to that role, and if he does, that person will be nothing but a token lapdog.

Besides, who is going to take the job?

Only a groupie, hopefully one that can afford massive legal bills.

Peace, y’all
