GOP Hypocrisy

A Tale of Two Tweets: Trump Wished Obama Would Die of Ebola, Obama Hugged an Ebola Victim

Imagine if a prominent Trump opponent said that Trump should go kiss a Coronavirus victim? Imagine if a key Trump opponent said Trump should go kiss all the Coronavirus victims.

Trump would go duck-shit insane, blaming all Democrats for being “so mean” to him, no one would’ve ever have been that mean to a president, and thus he ought to be mean back. All Trump would do is be “mean” back, because he’s treated so horribly. That is who Trump is.

Trump is the biggest hypocrite, the biggest whiner, and the biggest baby – punching out when the heat isn’t on him, can’t take it when it is on him:

Yes, that is real. Not manipulated or imaged.

But that is real Trump. It is him, back when he didn’t have to deal with the epidemic, nor have to deal with the American people who might fall victim to the disease. It is critical to recall that Ebola was far far more deadly than the Coronavirus, striking far more fear in people’s hearts. In effect, Trump was telling people he absolutely wished death upon Obama from Ebola.

That is who he is, that is the real Donald Trump.

And this is who Barack Obama really is:

That is a compassionate man, attempting to set the nation at ease, thank and congratulate a healthcare worker on the front lines, someone who is not a “germaphobe,” but is someone who listens to, and believes in, science – and people.

That is who Barack Obama is.

Trump doesn’t hug anyone like that.

That is not who he is.

He will grab people, sure. But hug them? That is for people who care for others, who know that an embrace can be important, it is for people who believe in others and believe in themselves. That is not who Donald Trump is.

Wishing Ebola – death – upon Obama, because he doesn’t like Obama? That is who Trump really is.

Obama not saying anything in response, then or now, but going out and helping people, reassuring them, thinking of them? That is who Obama really is.

Pass it around.

Peace, y’all
