Breitbart Blames Impeachment for Coronavirus Spread

If we only understood then the toll that the impeachment process would have upon Donald Trump, perhaps we would have refrained. It may have left Trump more time to focus on the coming epidemic, you know, the one he called a “Hoax!” many times?

That is the message from Breitbart’s Joel Pollack, who is, evidently, now convinced that the coronavirus is an actual epidemic, not a hoax – directly crossing his leader’s previous statements. That all this is real means he needs to find another way to make this about Democrats being awful.

Pollack believes that Trump spent far too many hours planning his fight against impeachment when he should have had that time available to … we don’t know what he might’ve done with his extra time, tell us that it was all a Hoax several more times a day? Suppress more numbers?

For twenty days, from the day the first death from coronavirus was known, Democrats did nothing about it. They were too busy with the president’s impeachment trial — a trial Pelosi had delayed unnecessarily for several weeks.

To the extent that they commented on coronavirus at all, it was only to tear up the president’s remarks or to call him a racist. They told the nation that he, not coronavirus, was a threat to the national security of the United States.

To be fair, Joel, when the president made remarks about the coronavirus, they generally were deserving of being torn up, and were – to this day – racist. So …, you know.

In the midst of that all-consuming trial, it is remarkable Trump was able to do anything else at all. But he did, and one of the things he did was impose the China travel ban, just one day after the World Health Organization declared coronavirus a global health emergency, and the day before the first victim of the pandemic died outside China.

Oh, break me a fcking give! How much effort did that take?

Trump: “I think we better keep people coming from that dirty China place, keep them from coming here. Everyone’s got diseases there.”

Staff: “So you want an order preventing travel directly from China to the United States?”

Trump: “Yes.”

That took 20 seconds, and I typed it. Breitbart expects Trump to get credit for “finding time” to order flights out of China closed? How many times did he tweet something meaningless in the middle of that impeachment trial? It is remarkable that he had time to golf – with greater frequency than any previous president or pro golfer to ever live.

Pollak ends with melodramatic flare:

Just a few weeks later, our divided leaders were taken by surprise by the pandemic, and bickered on cable news, asking why nothing was done sooner.

But we know why

Why yes, we DO!

Peace, y’all
