‘I’m Not Losing to Joe Biden’: Trump Reportedly Cursed at his Campaign Manager and Threatened to Sue Him

Hang with me for a minute and follow this. Trump mocked a disease that was “halfway around the world” (noted in Mid-January). He had intelligence briefings through January and February, warning him something bad was coming. He shut off travel from China except for the 40,000 Americans. He did not shut off travel from Europe even as Italy was overrun with the virus. He called it a Hoax. He blamed the media. He said it was the flu. He told Dr. Sanjay Gupta that Gupta (a professor of medicine) was wrong and flu had a higher death rate. In 2018 he cut the White House epidemic office. He told the American people it was all overblown, it was nothing.

Over six weeks 60,000 Americans died, or 25% of all the world’s deaths. The U.S. has a tiny percentage of the world’s population. The government’s own predictions said 60,000 dead by August 1st. It isn’t the end of April. It has been bad.

Remarkably, even with an impenetrable base of MAGA-heads, the type of people who believe that without Trump’s magnificent leadership, 60 million Americans, all under 10 years old, would be dead – even with those folks, Trump’s poll numbers went down.

What to do?

Certainly not double down, correct mistakes, act a little humble, apologize, no – don’t be silly. You scream at your campaign manager because obviously he’s doing a shit job.

From the New York Times:

Mr. Trump, according to multiple people familiar with the exchange, erupted during a phone call with his campaign manager, Brad Parscale, two days after he was presented with polling data from his campaign and the Republican National Committee that showed him trailing Joseph R. Biden Jr., the presumptive Democratic nominee, in several crucial states.

“I’m not losing to Joe Biden,” Trump said, cursing at Parscale throughout the call, The Washington Post reported.

I feel comfortable saying that Donald Trump may be the only human being who could oversee more people dying in six weeks than in the entire Vietnam War over ten years, and feel aggrieved that his poll numbers went down, and blame someone else.

I am sorry, Donald Trump. Whether you take responsibility at all (and you don’t, because you know this is bad, and you’re never in charge of anything “bad,” you only do good), whether you “take responsibility” – you are the one that ran for president. Through criminal intervention by our foreign adversaries, you won. You took office even though you didn’t even have to – you could have bowed out and given it to Hillary or Pence. You took office, and that means this shit – even shit that isn’t 100% your fault, is on you. Not “Brad.”

Stop bitching to everyone else, stop blaming everyone else, listen to the people that know what they’re doing, and then get the fck out of their way.

Peace, y’all
