Queen Elizabeth Shows Trump How to Lead With Brilliant Message — Doesn’t Even Brag About Her Facebook Ranking!

There is a real elegance to this and not just the Queen’s actual message, but the statement regarding where we stand as a society:

Twenty-one words:

I’m kinda shocked that she didn’t lash out at the governor of Michigan or brag about being number one on Facebook

And yet they say so much about what we have come to accept as “leadership” here in the United States.

We talk about Trump wanting to be king, this woman is actually a queen. A figurehead – yes, but a queen nonetheless. She chose to talk about service, and to heartfully talk about what she sees in and believes about her nation, one of which she is proud. She did not spend one word on polls, or on any criticism she might have taken, even, from the papers, nor did she compare her nation to others. Of course, when you’ve driven relief trucks around London as German bombers flew overhead, as she did, you do gain a certain amount of self-assurance and less need to brag upon oneself. But we used to think the same about being elected president of the United States.

The fact that she spoke like an adult, using complete sentences, and didn’t say a single word about herself or make any part of it about what she has done is just a bonus. We now have to endure a daily press conference – timed to replace the local news, so Americans don’t hear it – but this woman, who can speak whoever she would like, has made only six such speeches in her lifetime. Less is more.

This video goes so far to show how far we’ve descended when it comes to what we accept as real leadership and thoughtful messages. There would have been times – recent times – when the queen couldn’t have held a candle to our president in speaking to and on behalf of the nation, when it took a president to put things in historical perspective, and remind Americans of all we’re capable.

Those days are gone.

Instead, we get a man wanting to be king, and the worst type of man to hold that kind of responsibility.

Of course Trump still had to get his opinion in:

****

Peace, y’all
