Trump Faces Protest Signs Saying ‘Trump Makes Me Sick’ as He Returns to WH After Golfing During Pandemic
A White House official told Politico on Friday that Donald Trump hadn’t played golf in more than 70 days, but that streak is over, even though the coronavirus pandemic rages on.
Trump hit the links Saturday at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, where golf has the green light, despite rising infections in the Washington, D.C., metro area, which includes Northern Virginia. Still, because of its somewhat solitary nature, Dr. Deborah Birx, a prominent member of the White House coronavirus task force, said Friday that golf — with precautions — was a smart way to get outdoors during Memorial Day weekend.
Trump certainly seemed to hear that. He reportedly was seen driving in a golf cart alone, but was playing with three other people. None of the men were seen wearing masks.
Trump, who says he gets tested for the coronavirus daily, has mostly refused to wear a mask in public, and even admitted he didn’t want to give the media the satisfaction of seeing him wear one.

The White House pooler today, John Fritze with USA Today, reported that Trump faced some protest signs as he left his golf club, including one saying “Trump makes me sick.” Trump golfed for 3 1/2 hours, on a day when the deaths from coronavirus approach 100,000 Americans.
There were no protestors when Trump arrived at the club, because no one could’ve guessed that Trump would be so callous as to golf while the rest of America is dealing with COVID-19. Never underestimate Trump though!
And since there’s always a tweet, here’s one for you:
President Obama has a major meeting on the N.Y.C. Ebola outbreak, with people flying in from all over the country, but decided to play golf!
