Trump Fires Back and Screams About Gen. Mattis in Disgraceful, Angry Tweet: ‘Glad He is Gone!’

Many of us stood waiting, hitting “refresh” on Twitter every five minutes. We knew it was coming. The only question was whether this would be an after-dinner tweet or raging middle of the night tweet. Trump would respond to Mattis. It would be humiliating to us as Americans. It would enrage the armed forces – most of them. And it would denigrate a man who served his country through his entire life. James Mattis isn’t perfect. He would be the first to note it. But damn, he deserves better than this.

Ironically, Trump proves every point that Mattis made in his letter: Since Trump appears to have deleted his tweets, I will have to write them out by hand:

Probably the only thing Barack Obama and I have in common is that we both had the honor of firing Jim Mattis, the world’s most overrated General. I asked for his letter of resignation, & felt great about. (Sic) His nickname was “Chaos”, which I didn’t like, & changed it to “Mad Dog”

If you’ve bent over laughing or puking, there is still a second one, but let me ask real quick: Did you know that Trump gave Mattis his nickname? No? Neither did Mattis. Did you know that Obama fired Mattis? No? Neither did Mattis or Obama. Did you know Trump fired Mattis? No? Neither did Mattis, who resigned over pulling out of Syria.

He wasn’t done.

… His primary strength was not military, but rather personal public relations. I gave him a new life, things to do, and battles to win, but he seldom “brought home the bacon,” I didn’t like his “leadership” style or much else about him, and many others agree. Glad he is gone!

The tweets are up again after a grammar fix – not sure why. Trump knows military leadership when he sees it, not Mattis. Trump didn’t like his leadership style because Mattis is a leader, Trump is not – so he’s jealous. No one else agrees. Everyone is gone. Every person who came through the door that had experience, they’re all gone. The only ones left are slathering loyalists.

There are two groups of people in Trump’s world. The people that love him and serve him. And the horrible, terrible, no-good, fake, dog-faced, evil bastards that have said something bad about him.

Of course, Mattis did a lot more than “say something bad about him.” Mattis warned the Pentagon and all of us about him. Still, a real man or woman would’ve simply kept his or her mouth shut and continued to work.

Others had some thoughts, too: I love this one below

This is the funniest lie in a long time. We need a giggle:

There is always a tweet:

This is true.

This exposes Trump’s character like little else:

And, just so you know. The MAGA-heads are right with him, through every single lie in those two tweets, they are right there:

Sigh. In any other world the MAGA-heads would love Mad Dog, but not this world. Mattis went against “God.”
