Rep. Ted Yoho Won’t Shut Up About AOC After She Pounded Him on House Floor: ‘I Won’t Apologize …’
Earlier this week we reported on Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez speech in the well of the sacred House of Representatives, standing up for herself – someone not to be underestimated – coming out and saying it wasn’t acceptable that Rep. Ted Yoho called her a “fcking bitch” earlier in the week, and not accepting his mealy-mouthed apology.
Ocasio-Cortez addressed the incident, and the failed apology, again on Thursday during a speech on the House Floor. The New York representative noted that Yoho cited his daughters in his statement, adding, “I am someone’s daughter too. My father, thankfully, not alive to see how Mr. Yoho treated his daughter.”
Congressman Ted Yoho has no idea what he’s dealing with and should just say, “Things were overheated, I don’t believe I said that phrase, but I am sorry for my anger. We all need to remember to be more civil, me included,” and let it go.
But, nope. He is now busy digging himself a deeper hole as if he learned nothing the first time.

According to Mediaite:
Yoho fired back following her speech, claiming that she has no right to “inflate, talk about my family, or give an account that did not happen for political gain.”
The congressman added that he would not apologize for “something I didn’t say” and insisted, “No one was accosted, bullied, or attacked.”
“She has a every right give her account of the conversation but she doesn’t have the right to inflate, talk about my family, or give an account that did not happen for political gain. The fact still remains, I am not going to apologize for something I didn’t say,” Yoho said

AOC has made plenty of mistakes in her first term, just like any prominent, first-term congresswoman who gets an inordinate amount of attention and hatred from the Right. But she learns fast and refuses to back down. She is a force of nature and a political star. Watching her is like watching Kobe Bryant in his first year with the Lakers. She isn’t as polished as the more experienced ones around her, still a little young, just learning the system, making mistakes and yet the unlimited potential and talent in this passionate woman is out there for all to see.
She won’t back down, and Yoho doesn’t realize that he’s outmatched here. Women like AOC don’t need to “make-up” events such as the above. They get plenty of real slurs. Yoho’s insistence that he never said such a thing seems far more geared toward a Fox News soundbite than anything sincere on the House floor.
Keep going, Yoho, you are losing, and you don’t even know it.

Peace, y’all
