People Believe Ivanka’s Speech Dropped Some Major Hints — That She’s Going to Run for President Some Day

Has anyone ever seen Ivanka sound more entitled, more arrogant, more certain that she deserved her moment? Does anyone doubt that Ivanka demanded to be the one who spoke just before Trump? Does anyone doubt that she had a very calculated reason for insisting such a place in the lineup? Ivanka’s desire for power is matched only by her father’s, but he may be slipping, and Ivanka may be just gathering steam. The MAGAs have fantasies about …

Obviously her speech was chockfull of self-evident bullshit. Every time she said anything that touched upon Trump caring about anything but himself, especially the summation that all Trump cares about is the American people, sent over half the country into hysterical laughter. The man spent weekend after weekend golfing, as Americans laid in hospital beds dying. But this is the man who cares about Americans? The man faced with a once in a century pandemic was too afraid to slow the economy down as experts recommended, to avoid the dangers of COVID? That guy cares about Americans? Ivanka insulted our intelligence. But then again, it’s Ivanka, intelligence never factored into much of anything.

The most bothersome part of her speech is how quickly she flipped from sounding like a coquettish, flirty, baby-sitter with a twinkle in the eye for the younger dad, to the powerbroker ready to bust some balls and run the country the moment her father falls over from a bad Big Mac-Extra Crispy KFC interaction.

But if one really wanted to catch Ivanka pushing an agenda, one need only have paid attention to how she framed “Trump’s” accomplishments. Trump had help, doncha know?

Ah, yeah – we noticed, and it matched the new tone of voice, one we believe we best get used to. Win or lose the election coming in a couple of months, Ivanka is going to push ahead no matter what.  She wants that title, she wants it badly and she’ll do whatever it takes. She has been doing whatever it takes her entire life.
