Senate Intel Committee Releases Trump Letter to Putin From 2007 and It’s Bad: ‘I am a Big Fan of Yours!”

By now most readers are aware of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s release of Volume 5, the last installment of its report on the Russian interference in our 2016 election. The Republicans that control the committee controlled the date of release and obviously held it back to interfere with the message coming out of the DNC convention.

The details are not “good” for Trump and no matter how many times we see a GOP senator like Rubio write “No collusion,” the details in the report set out collusion. Period. Roger Stone colluded with the Russians and Paul Manafort colluded with the Russians. Moreover, the report details how Trump “colluded” with Stone, using Stone as the middleman – that is how it is that Stone could order his own commutation. There is no evidence of Trump talking to Putin, saying “I need you to dump the Wikileaks emails twenty minutes before the Access Hollywood tapes come out.” But that’s only because Stone took care of it. Stone called Wikileaks, which got the emails from Russia.

That is not to say that Trump never contacted Putin. Indeed the committee put out some evidence that wandered into their files, a fan letter from Trump to Vladimir from back in 2007. This is beyond humiliating:

In case you are reading this on your phone, the letter is from Trump to Putin, dates, December 19, 2007, saying:

“Congratulations on being named Time Man of the Year. You definitely deserve it. As you probably have heard, I am a big fan of yours. Take care of yourself. Signed Donald Trump.”

Can I be a spy!!! Pick me!!

Why would Trump be a big fan? Because Vlady might be the world’s richest man? We don’t know if Putin is the richest man on Earth, that’s how Putin rolls. Putin is too cool to let everyone know how much money he has. Putin also kills people that criticize him, including members of the press, which Putin also hates. Putin is one of the world’s most ruthless dictators.

What’s not to love?

Should we point out that it was in the Great Recession in the early 2010s that Trump went on his biggest spending sprees, buying golf courses and properties all over? Paying “cash.”

As you probably have heard, I am a big fan of yours.

It isn’t the country’s lowest point, but it’s awfully low.

Peace, y’all
