Sweaty Trump Says Abraham Lincoln ‘Wasn’t Big on the Hispanic Movement’ at Bizarre Virginia Rally
Oh, dear.
Donald Trump said at a campaign rally Friday night that President Abraham Lincoln “wasn’t big on the Hispanic movement” in a bizarre apparent attempt to praise himself.
Repeating his claim that he’s done more for minority communities than any other American leader in history, Trump touted the results of his campaign events in Florida with leaders of the Hispanic community.
He said, “We call them the ‘Latinos for Trump,’ where we are polling at numbers that I guess no Republican has ever polled at before, perhaps, Abraham Lincoln. But in those days, he wasn’t big into the Hispanic movement, I think. He had other things to think about.”

Huh? That doesn’t even make sense.

Twitter had a field day:
His obsession with Abraham Lincoln is very unhealthy. If he was alive today he would have put a restraining order against him. Anyone who is linked to Lincoln through family might need to worry.

He also foolishly asked an overwhelmingly white crowd whether he should refer to Black people as “Black” or “African American.” I’m sure a lot of folks in that crowd could think of other names. 🙄

Did he happen to mention how much he loves the authentic Hispanic taco bowls? pic.twitter.com/Q4FtuLCScc

I don’t understand how people, any people, don’t see how condescending and insincere this shit is.

If you hadn’t supplied the video footage, I would’ve assumed this is a spoof of Trump riffing. He’s turned the presidency into bad parody & now he’s parodying his own parody.

He speaks of Lincoln often yet he is so far from he stood for. We have seen the very worst in this president and one quote has given us one truth about Trump. "If you want to test a man's character, give him power." Abraham Lincoln
