Trump Told Sarah Huckabee Sanders to ‘Take One for the Team’ After Kim Jong Un’s Flirty Wink

We will admit, when we first read the headline to these stories, we assumed that the reference that Trump would “Pimp-out” Sarah Huckabee-Sanders to North Korea, we thought Trump figured it would be a good idea for Sarah Huckabee-Sanders to be the North Korean spokesperson for a period. What else could it possibly be?

Glad you asked.

We will borrow some details from our friends at Rawstory, which originate in Huckabee-Sanders new book:

President Donald Trump urged Sarah Huckabee Sanders to “take one for the team” after North Korean leader Kim Jong-un appeared to wink at her during a 2018 summit.

“Kim Jong-un hit on you!” Trump told his press secretary, according to the book. “He did! He f*cking hit on you!”

We just completed a story in which Trump pounded Chris Cuomo for speaking disrespectfully to women. And our guy, the president of the United States, didn’t back the woman who worked for him, who is married with children, when some “leader” starts hitting on her.

Sanders said that Kim Jung-un “appeared to wink at me” when making direct eye-contact. She simply went back to taking her notes. In this one instance, we will back up Sarah. She has the right to be a professional, doing her job, without Kim Jung-un making it about … whatever it is that sick mind associates with women.

And of course, to make it much worse, her boss didn’t have his back. He could have found it “astonishing” and maybe a giggle in a weird way, but then after a moment’s thought an adult will say, “that’s not appropriate and I’ll talk to him.” That’s what a boss is supposed to do.

But Trump could make it much worse. Trump told John Kelly later in the day, still laughing. The situation evidently really bothered Sarah Huck as she said “Sir, please stop.”

And then the “only Trump” part:

“Well, Sarah, that settles it,” Trump said, according to Sanders. “You’re going to North Korea and taking one for the team! Your husband and kids will miss you, but you’ll be a hero to your country!”

Trump’s obnoxiousness and adolescence can create odd scenarios, like ones where you even feel a little bad for Sarah Huckabee … Except she went on to defend him as God’s president and still does? Still, he should’ve backed her up, and the fact he didn’t should have opened her eyes.

Americans reacted as expected:
