Clarence Thomas’s Wife is Spreading Sick Biden Conspiracy Theories and People are FURIOUS

Justice Clarence Thomas has never been one to worry too much about the appearance of a conflict of interest. Back ten years or so ago, he and Justice Scalia were guests at a giant Koch brothers get together, which, would seem to most, to be a bit of an issue with regard to impartiality. Additionally, Thomas’s wife Ginny might be even worse when it comes to ignoring conflicts – which would apply almost equally to a SCOTUS’ Justice’s wives as it would to the Justice himself.

Ginny has gotten herself into some trouble recently by smearing Joe Biden without exactly checking any of the facts, first.

According to the AP’s Mark Sherman:

“The wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is using her Facebook page to amplify unsubstantiated claims of corruption by Joe Biden. Ginni Thomas, a long-time conservative activist, asked her more than 10,000 followers Monday to consider sharing a link focused on alleged corruption by the Democratic nominee for president and his son, Hunter, as well as claims that social media companies are censoring reports about the Bidens.”

You would think that would be enough:

Ginni Thomas is not only far-right — she is also big on conspiracy theories. Sherman notes that on October 10, she posted, “More citizens should KNOW about the biggest scandal and the evidence now piling up! #ObamaGate.” And four days later on October 14, she went after Democratic billionaire George Soros — a favorite target of talk radio host Alex Jones and other conspiracy theorists — and posted, “Who is really running the Democrat Party? The Soros family.”

Ugh, this was posted by the wife of a SCOTUS justice, sick:

A justice just cannot act this politically, and, of course while a wife should have somewhat more freedom, but not unlimited. Moreover, he has done nothing to remove himself from her opinion pieces or ensure that he is seen as independent and impartial. The standard always used is avoiding a conflict or the appearance of a conflict. It sure seems that the second would fit quite well in the “appearance” of conflict prong.

It needs to be discussed, a lower judge could be impeached for less.

People on Twitter are furious:
