Trump Promotes Crazy Conspiracy Theory That Obama Staged Bin Laden’s Killing

Yes, we know that generally “re-tweets” are not necessarily adoptions of the views within those tweets, but then one is generally not the president of the United States and one generally uses other forms of communication (like reading and writing) beyond Twitter to get messages out to the public.

Donald Trump’s retweets actually DO very much represent adoption of the thinking within the tweet itself. One can sort of guess, given that Trump doesn’t even “follow” a lot of people, that he must see stuff in threads posted by people that obviously love him (he’s undoubtedly looking for more compliments because that’s what he does as president) and will see something of interest to him that he believes the world should know.

Now Trump is promoting a tweet so batshit insane that we’re watching the clock to see how long it will take before Twitter takes it down or hides it behind the wall of insane shame:

Well, “accidentally killing Bin Laden’s body double” would still be doing more to fight terrorism and ISIS than Donald Trump has done, who willingly gave southern Syria to ISIS, but – again, this has exactly no basis in fact whatsoever. It is just as factual as the assertion that JFK Jr. was not really dead and was coming back on 4th of July to run with Donald Trump as Vice President because JFK Jr. wanted to fake his death until a real president came, worthy of the U.S. (Yes, that was a thing).

This has as much credibility as the fact that Donald Trump and Robert Mueller were actually working together in investigating the Clintons and Obamas trafficking in … you know. The worst stuff on Earth, and there would be an explosive news story in which they’d all be frog marched to jail. That never happened, either.

The point is nothing at all dissuades the Q-anon people, not even the fact that OBL is still dead. Do not expect the “still dead” fact to impact this at all, either.

UPDATE: The Navy Seal who killed bin Laden, who is a Trump supporter, had some words for Trump:
