Ivanka Trump Gearing to Move Back to NYC Where She Hopes to ‘Reclaim Her Socialite Status’

Now that her father’s term as president is coming to an end, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner may find they won’t face a warm welcome when they return to New York and their $4.1 million Manhattan apartment in Trump’s Park Avenue building.

It’s reported that Jared and Ivanka have urged Trump to accept defeat, but they’re still holding on to their security passes as things wind down.

Sure the young couple will go back to Congregation Kehilath Jushurun, where Kushner’s family donates a chunky sum yearly, and their kids will almost certainly be welcomed back to the Ramaz School, a tony Jewish private school, The Daily Mail reports.

More than a few people who were friends with the couple in the past have decidedly “unfriended” them — including actress Natalie Portman, who attended their 2009 wedding and even invited the Kushners to her own in 2012. But the tables have turned for Portman and she now accuses Donald Trump of “taking us backwards on civil rights.”

Then there’s actress Emmy Rossum, who also attended the Kushner wedding. She responded to Trump’s hot mic 2016 “locker room” comments by tweeting “Donald Trump thinks when you’re a star, you ‘can do anything’ to women? Well, you can’t make me vote for you you misogynistic entitled pig.”

To be fair, Ivanka shouldn’t be blamed for her father’s misogyny but it’s also worth noting she’s done little to refute it and was even booed at a summit in Germany after claiming her father was an advocate for women.

One other former friend, socialite and former Vogue magazine editor, Lauren Santo Domingo, who once co-chaired the American Museum of Natural History with Ivanka, has made it quite clear that friendship will remain firmly in the past. At one point, she tweeted “in the end, it will be @realDonaldTrump and @IvankaTrump alone in the bunker.”

But as her father heads off into the sunset of his presidency, this leads me to ask, does anyone really care what happens to these people when it’s over?
