Election 2020

Trump is Reportedly ‘Dejected’ Watching World Leaders Congratulate President-Elect Biden

President Donald Trump is still stubbornly refusing to accept his resounding defeat by President-elect Joe Biden and is defiantly shouting-out all-caps conspiracy theories about voter fraud on Twitter, Raw Story reports. Specifically, Trump fired off the doozy below, which The New York Times has since debunked.

But apparently, this isn’t the only burr chafing his hide. CNN reports Trump is feeling “dejected” over his sound defeat by Biden, especially as he watches a grateful world congratulation Biden.

“In the days since, Trump has spent ample time in front of the TV watching coverage of Biden’s transition, including his public remarks describing Trump’s reluctance to concede an “embarrassment,” per CNN. “He has been dismayed to see foreign leaders, including those he considered friends such as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, move swiftly toward congratulating Biden.”

Some of the president’s allies surmise he’ll eventually accept the fact that he’s not going to be the president any longer sometime within the next two months, but they also say they don’t expect him to concede defeat. They believe, they say, that he’ll continue to claim the election was “stolen” from him. These same allies, who spoke on conditions of anonymity, say they expect he may try to run for president again in 2024 and they think he will continue to dismiss the 2020 election as “fraudulent,” if he does run in 2024.

And it appears that some of the rats are leaving the sinking ship, even though the personnel office chief has declared that anyone looking for new jobs will be fired. This has apparently not swayed some staffers, who are busily updating their resumes and actively seeking new positions. CNN also reports that senior officials within the administration are helping their staff look for new jobs outside the White House.

It’s good news to see this circus leaving town and if Trump is feeling “dejected” it’s his own fault. He’s had opportunities to prove he could be a decent human being and has failed every single time. Jailing innocent children. Allowing nearly 250,000 Americans to die from a pandemic that could have been lessened with a few simple steps. Assailing climate change activists like Greta Thunberg who fully understand the very real dangers the planet now faces due to the ignorance of Trump and his followers and the greed of the corporatocracy.

I could cite an endless list of reasons why it’s Trump’s fault that he lost the election but I’m just going to wrap it up by saying he’s done. Finished. And good riddance!
