Election 2020
Delaware Judge Accuses Trump Attorney Lin Wood of Professional Misconduct Which May Impact Election Case
We have said before – many times – that if a presidential election is seriously contested, men and women in 2,000 suits (pantsuits for women) HALO in from law firms based in DC and NYC with $5,000 briefcases full of meticulously prepared documents without a single error nor a single issue left unexamined. The people appearing in court are those with over twenty years of experience and can speak to a judge with respect but also authority over the subject.
This is not that.
One can tell that this isn’t a serious election contest because somehow, and no one is really sure how, L. Lin Wood is involved in several cases.
Now a Delaware judge wants some explanations from Wood about some filings he made and according to Law and Order, it sounds really bad. One doesn’t have to be a lawyer to understand that this ain’t good:

“In a detailed order to show cause, Delaware Superior Court Judge Craig Karsnitz itemized defects and alleged unprofessional behavior in Wood’s lawsuits in Wisconsin and Georgia, including filing suit without a plaintiff’s authorization, submitting a false affidavit, and making a series of gaffes that the judge said call his competence into question,” reported Adam Klasfeld.
The definition of an attorney is someone who can bind another in a legal proceeding, whether it’s in court or in a contract, whatever. But you can’t file suit without a client, which it sounds like Wood did. That isn’t even the worst thing he did. Filing a false affidavit is a game-changer or game-ender. That is someone one doesn’t do, ever.
“It appears to the Court that, since the granting of Mr. Wood’s motion he, has engaged in conduct in other jurisdictions, which, had it occurred in Delaware, would violate the Delaware Lawyers’ Rules of Professional Conduct,” wrote Karsnitz.
Pretty straightforward.

Yeah. Next time you’re in a battle for the presidency, make sure you have $50 million to put into retainers to get the best law firms around so that no one’s embarrassed by filing suit without a client, it’s just kind of tacky and judges tend to notice, which looks pretty bad.
