More People Died of Covid in One Day Than On 9-11 and Look at What ‘Your President’ Trump Was Doing

We took it upon ourselves to show you what today looked like in another universe in which either a competent Republican had won or any of the Democrats, including Hillary, won in 2016 and been president today. We are bringing you snippets of the news from the “real world” to re-set all this and then we’ll bring you right back around to our universe and give you the last six hours of presidential “news.”

The President again spent much of the day in the situation room monitoring hospital space and the newest data from the CDC and talking to the governors of South Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri, and Arkansas, while members of the military and the newly created “Presidential COVID Relief Teams” gathered at various staging areas throughout the country …

The President briefly spoke to the nation: “Yesterday, this nation lost more people due to COVID than the number of people killed on 9-11, and yet today we hit another record in new cases, thus we expect it to get much worse in the next ten days. We remain at record-high hospitalization and so it is going to get worse before it gets better. 

My fellow Americans, we face the single most dangerous period our country has faced in a century. In the next four months and especially the next four weeks this nation must come together to … But the good news is that the vaccines are now coming! The alliance made by Google, Apple, and the Defense Department has resulted in the most sophisticated artificial-intelligence software ever written to help guide the distribution of the vaccine. The software is designed to “learn” new considerations in efficiency while continuing to guide every move in the next seventy-two hour period. It will of course still be overseen here in the Situation Room …. We still remain committed to our goal, “Every willing recipient to be vaccinated by the end of February …”

Amazon’s alliance with the USPS continues to deliver 5 new N-95 masks to every recipient on the list every five days …

The President later spoke to the governors of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia …

Presidents Obama and Bush called a press conference to release the latest findings in preparation of their report to Congress from Presidential Task Force-Econ, in which the presidents discussed their latest virtual meetings with leaders from various businesses on economizing some of the lessons learned during the crisis and utilizing these lessons to restart the economy with maximum efficiency and broadest results with a focus on the poor to middle class …”

The White House put out a Level Five Warning, a first, with respect to hospital space expected over the next 15 to 30 days. Put simply, the nation is forced to call upon its citizens to do all it can to respect the people that care for us …

At 11:00 p.m. the president was on the phone personally calling hospital personnel throughout the country, thanking them, and asking what needs they might have …

We may not have it perfectly, but that’s close to the news in the real world.
