Pastor Says Christians Who Vote for Democrats in Georgia’s Special Elections ‘Might As Well Spit in Jesus’ Face’
During the Saturday edition of his “Wisdom Meditation” video that he posts daily on Facebook, right-wing pastor and radio host E.W. Jackson said that any Christian who votes for the two Democratic Senatorial candidates in Georgia’s upcoming runoff election “might as well spit in Jesus’ face.”
Jackson, who ran unsuccessfully for Lieutenant Governor in Virginia’s 2013 race, now says he’s working to encourage Black voters in Georgia to vote for Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue instead of their Democratic challengers, John Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, Right Wing Watch reports.
This worrisome because this election is crucial. It determines which party will control the Senate over the next term.
Jackson, however, has a one-track mind, and the only thing he’s worried about is that both candidates support the LGBTQ community. He’s a major homophobe of the worst sort.
“These two clowns running for U.S. Senate down there are both pro-abortion,” he said. “These two clowns down there are both big LGBTQ advocates. The Bible makes clear, ‘The fool has said in his heart there is no God,’ and these two are both imbued with Marxist ideology. Of course, I’m opposed to them. Of course, I don’t want them to go to the U.S. Senate.”

And he’ll have you know that if you vote for Warnock and Ossoff, then you’re against God.
“They don’t need to be there,” he said. “So you all pray for me that we’ll be successful in alerting, awakening Black Christian voters in Georgia of just how evil the two candidates are that are running for the Democrat Party. And if you vote for them, you might as well vote against God, because that’s what it boils down to. If you vote for Warnock or Ossoff and you claim to be a Christian, you really just might as well spit in Jesus’ face, because they both have done that.”
So apparently Jesus is okay with two corrupt Republican senators who have profited massively through alleged insider trading, selling a deluge of stock just after a confidential Senate briefing and right before the ensuing stock market crash.
But hoo boy, should someone marry within their own sex, or should a cash-strapped woman have an abortion, well Jesus will have a cow over that one. Because that’s the tune right-wing evangelicals like Jackson like to play. He’d rather see people who profited while thousands, including lots and lots of African Americans, die from this nasty virus.
I have run out of words to even characterize Jackson. If Jesus prefers Loeffler and Perdue, then I’m glad I’m an atheist. And by the way, if you’re wondering exactly how homophobic this man is, here’s a hint.
Here’s Jackson’s nonsensical comments in the video below.
