Trump Calls for the ‘Stupid’ Governor of Georgia to Resign, ‘He Refuses to Admit We Won Georgia BIG!’

Trump opened his mouth again, via Twitter and one knows that’s a bad development. Trump seems to still hold the idea that he can – by sheer force of will – change the results of 3-4 elections, though it’s Georgia that’s really upsetting him because that’s just embarrassing. From the Florida Press:

As Republican control of the Senate hangs on the balance of the upcoming Georgia runoff election, President Donald Trump (R) is taking aim at Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R). The verbal jabs aimed at Kemp come as early voting is underway for both Senate races that will determine if Republicans will keep control of the Senate or whether Democrats will turn the Senate blue as the President continues his legal challenges against the November 3rd presidential election. This also comes at a time when talks of Americans receiving $2,000 have stalled in the Senate even after President Trump has doubled down on Americans receiving this help from the federal government.

And there were two or three more before we got to the resolution. Kemp should resign because Trump won that state!

This is sort of otherworldly.

“Refuses to admit?” Where is there a tally showing that Trump won? Why would Kemp the Republican have any trouble “admitting” Trump won if Trump actually won?

Someone has to explain this to us:

The President called the whole ordeal “disgusting!” The Georgia Governor has not responded to the President’s words, but the comments come after Republicans have faced some infighting over the future of the Republican party and over the results of the November elections.

Well, we know that Trump’s interests aren’t in the future of the Republican party because he’s too busy burying it. He is single-handily blowing up the GOP’s chances in an election that they really shouldn’t have too much trouble winning. But him calling “their” governor an idiot and asking for a resignation doesn’t make the Republicans look good, nor does Trump’s demand for $2000, which puts McConnell in the spot where he has to turn down $1400 to the American people.

Now all the Democrats have to do is say; “Elect us and we’ll get you your money by the end of the month.” That seems like a winning message. And Kemp has nothing to do with it. At this point, you have to wonder if Kemp isn’t considering switching parties.
