A Very Tired Looking Kayleigh McEnany Runs Away From Podium as Reporters Scream Questions at Her

We have far weightier concerns to consider. And yet it was hard not to wonder, as the resignations dropped in like a raging waterfall, “Where is Kayleigh?”

It is not that the woman is a personal obsession, far from it – it would be easier on all of us in the media if we had someone who would answer questions. Kayleigh plays the role of the frustrated and bitter high school English teacher, she lectures, she doesn’t “answer questions.”

But Kayleigh’s official job is to inform the public. The White House is a nerve center that connects every computer and department in government, Homeland Security, the FBI, the Attorney General, the military, and all federal police. She is the one who is supposed to have information. We are owed answers.

Think of a mass shooting (we’ve had so many), El Paso – for example. Where is the Chief of Police answering questions at night under giant temporary lighting and yellow tape; “I cannot answer that question right now, I can say …”

Where was the FBI with their cool hats and badges hung over their necks? Why was Director Wray not standing outside at midnight doing a press conference under a closed crime scene?

We didn’t get any of that! This was a 9-11 on democracy. We got almost nothing. We still have almost nothing. But notice that all those forces in that nerve center eventually connect to Trump and through Trump, to Kayleigh’s office. She should have been scrambling to get us information:

Who did it? Was it coordinated? How many people involved? Why was the response so anemic? Who is in charge!? How many arrests have been made? Is there evidence that some police let insurrectionists into the Capitol? Is Trump considering resigning? What was he doing yesterday while huddled in the White House?

So many questions, but only Kayleigh could gather the answers. That’s her job. Quaint, we know.

Her other “job” might have been to resign. That is one thing we thought about. What will the shameless career-oriented, power-hungry, woman do? Tough spot! She needs to resign to keep any legitimacy with the public. But if she resigns, she cuts the money tied to Trump, and she’s about to land backward on Pennsylvania Avenue with her Chanel purse and heels. What to do?

So we watched. In the end, she “K-Mac’d” the entire situation. She came out jammed something meaningless down our throats and then ran back out of the room, ever the reliable coward. Not a single question. In the end, at the most important moment in this administration, Kayleigh didn’t have a single answer. Instead, she lectured:

“The violence we saw yesterday at our nation’s Capitol was appalling, reprehensible, and antithetical to the American way. We condemn it — the president and this administration — in the strongest possible terms. It is unacceptable. And those that broke the law, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

“What we saw yesterday was a group of violent rioters undermining the legitimate First Amendment rights of the many thousands who peacefully came to have their voices heard in our nation’s Capitol.”

Oh, how brave! Twenty-four hours later they say they condemn terrorists, some of them armed and walking around with wrist ties, another standing at the Speakers chair, arms raised, they “condemn” it twenty-four hours later.

This would be the point where it is her job to earn her $180,000 salary. She was the one with access to answers. According to Mediate, reporters shouted questions.

“But where is the president?!” ABC’s Jon Karl said.

“The president spurred them on!” Playboy correspondent Brian Karem added.

The remarks were completely ignored. Just seconds after concluding her statement, Kayleigh McEnany was gone.

Other than Trump’s faux anger bathed in the glow of glory, Kayleigh might have been the biggest coward of all. Mike Pence, the reprehensible Mike Pence, stuck to the Constitution, gave the same speech yesterday, and then gaveled the Senate together to read out the votes that will usher Trump and Pence out of office. Mike Pence, the guy who’s done nothing through this entire administration, did his only job at the time the nation most needed him.

Kayleigh had a similar, less weighty, responsibility. She dodged out. Maybe she was ordered? She could’ve resigned. She is a coward.

We cannot possibly be rid of these people soon enough. Trailer trash.
