Alex Jones in Trouble: Partially Funded Trump’s January 6th ‘Protest’ and Organized Other Contributions

We have always said that one needed only to follow the money funding the January 6th “protest” and one would have a pathway to determine Trump’s role and whether Trump planned the insurrection. Now we know that Alex Jones made a significant contribution and, more importantly, organized the funding that came from other contributors.

A Wall Street Journal report lays out the details, keep an eye out for the most critical details:

“Mr. Jones personally pledged more than $50,000 in seed money for a planned Jan. 6 event in exchange for a guaranteed “top speaking slot of his choice,” according to a funding document outlining a deal between his company and an early organizer for the event.”

No, that isn’t a ton of money, but “seed” and early organizer are the critical words. Jones may not have a ton of money nowadays. But he had enough to get it going and then he did something much more important:

“Mr. Jones also helped arrange for Julie Jenkins Fancelli, a prominent donor to the Trump campaign and heiress to the Publix Super Markets Inc. chain, to commit about $300,000 through a top fundraising official for former President Trump’s 2020 campaign, according to organizers. Her money paid for the lion’s share of the roughly $500,000 rally at the Ellipse where Mr. Trump spoke.

Above is the key detail. “Helped arrange.” So, of the $500,000 needed for the rally, Jones was instrumental in getting $350,000 gathered and that’s limited to the amount we know about. We have no idea what he told Julie Jenkins Fancelli, he might have only said that they needed it to support Trump. Clearly, law-enforcement must focus on Jones, what he was told, and when.

Jones has been in enough hot water already and got taken to the cleaners by his ex-wife and the Sandy Hook parents. He had certainly diminished in stature, perhaps he’s made a comeback now that conspiracies are all the rage in MAGAville. We don’t know.

We do know that he should be sat down by the FBI. Numerous pictures on the net seem to make it clear that Jones was standing right outside the Capitol, though we’ve not seen an official report and will not publish unconfirmed pictures. He spoke the night before the rally and certainly riled them up to “stop the steal” the next day. Now investigators only need to know whether he spoke to Trump in the weeks before the rally and what was said.

This is the kind of direct link needed to determine how much of the insurrection was planned. We know Trump wouldn’t “pay” for something like this, but he certainly might help with the plan.
