Hilarious Fox Fail Trying to Criticize Biden: Biden Says ‘Buy American,’ Fox Says ‘Do Not Anger China!’

Fox News doesn’t have a lot of practice with this “Crack the Whip on Joe Biden” thing. It is going to take time until they find their core strategy and mission. They will find it. We have no doubt. But it will be fun watching them slip around trying to get traction. When one must criticize literally everything about the other side, it can lead to some funny results.

This morning’s matter arose out of President Biden’s new “Buy American” initiative. The initiative obviously seeks to have the U.S. government buy American while asking private companies to do the same. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Isn’t that what we’ve been told is needed, by politicians on both sides?

Yes, it is. Except now Fox says Biden might be hurting the U.S. because the initiative might upset our trading partners too much.

Steven Doocy asked: “Could Joe Biden’s ‘Buy America’ initiative actually hurt our relationship with key trading partners?” Perhaps a little, Steve. We are confident that the Biden administration well-knows that this is the type of thing that has to be done with care and there might be some bruises along the way. But we generally put Americans first here in the United States. It is interesting to hear that Steve’s worried about U.S. trade partners because most of those partners despised Trump.

Then Ainsley served up the most hilarious “Foot in Mouth, Try to Recover” moves we’ve seen in a while:

We have to tread lightly here. Because we want companies in America to do well but, also, we need [personal protective equipment] from other countries. Then we don’t want to do anything to upset that relationship, maybe with China or someone else — even though China is such a big threat.”

We are quite comfortable saying that if a product isn’t available in the United States, such as PPE, the “Buy American” initiative will not apply and it is the same old “Buy it! Now!” policy that should be in place. But it is hilarious that Ainsley leaped to make China the sympathetic victim, “we don’t want to upset them!” only to then realize what she said and slink back.

As we said, it is going to take a lot of practice but they will get better and then it won’t be as funny:
