Jim Carrey Says Goodbye to the ‘Worst First Lady Ever’ With His Latest Cartoon, ‘Thanks for Nothing!’

We so dearly hope that Melania sees Jim Carrey’s new painting.

Now, normally we would say that mocking how a woman looks is way out of bounds (Jenne Ellis!). And actually, we’re still going to say that Carrey should have probably taken a different tact on this rather than going straight to an obvious shot at how Melania looked.

But.

Melania was all about how Melania looked. Indeed, if Melania cared about her character or actions beyond how she looked, we missed it. Even Melania’s most “famous” or “infamous” moment as First Lady related to her clothing, “the jacket,” and “I don’t care, do U?”

As we’ve noted any number of times, if Melania wanted more acceptance as an American First Lady, she should have made a much bigger effort to simply look like an American woman rather than a Brazilian (or Slovenian) runway model the entire time, wearing outfits that cost more than a Honda. Is it that complicated? If you want people to relate to you, wear some kickass hiking boots, some great Levis, an Urban Outfitters sweater, and a cute hat. There you go, Melania, our consulting fee is $25,000 or about the cost of the outfit we just decided you didn’t need to buy.

Anyway, Carrey went right after Melania’s “look” and again, we really hope she sees it. We aren’t trying to be cruel, but perhaps she could learn something about herself:

Whoa. That is harsh. But then again, that’s is Mel. Put that painting up near anywhere and that would be people’s first guess. Second guess might be Jenna Ellis … we kid.

Americans loved it:
