Lauren Boebert Mocks ‘Super Smart Lawyers’ and ‘Career Politicians’ to Brag About Her GED and ‘Experience’: Forgets Her Rap Sheet

Lauren Boebert is quickly becoming a favorite on the Right. As we’ve said before, there are probably twenty-five GOP senators who have been in Washington for over a decade and yet have never been on Hannity. Boebert hasn’t been in the House for more than a month and she’s been on at least once of which we know. She is becoming a big influencer and that’s a big deal. She is one of the worst of the worst. Whereas once John Cornyn represented the far-right wing of the GOP, now it’s the Lauren Boeberts.

She absolutely speaks MAGA, the only group where one would proudly put oneself over super-smart people with law degrees or a career in politics.

To be clear, we do not think that a person with a GED should shy away from it, nor has anything for which to apologize. Boebert comes close to making a point before crashing and burning. We do believe that Congress could benefit from having some people with GEDs in it so long as those people have done the necessary legwork to learn the procedures and issues faced by Congress. Boebert seems to believe every issue involves guns and espousing faithfulness to Trump, that’s it.

Moreover, if one is going to brag about their minimal formal education, it’s probably best to just note why one should be taken seriously and be proud of it. It’s probably a bad idea to insult others to lift yourself over them, as if it’s better to have a GED than studying through college and grad school, we actually don’t believe such.

No one, ever, said you need an Ivy League degree to have the American league dream, or any degree for that matter. But if you’re going to say that classism is wrong, it’s a pretty bad idea to slam someone like Elizabeth Warren (who doesn’t have an Ivy League degree but was a professor in the Ivy League) as responsible for the deficit. We suspect Lauren is going to vote for tax cuts whenever she can and they contribute to deficits.

We are also not sure she should be the one talking about getting policies dead wrong. Most people who have been in Congress over a decade still don’t understand the majority of policies, it takes some specialization. We have yet to see Boebert show any interest in any issue that isn’t a Second Amendment issue and loyalty to all things MAGA. And she gets the 2nd Amendment policies wrong, ask the kids at Marjorie Storman-Douglas.

She did fail to mention that after she so nobly dropped out of high school to feed her family (did she really?) through to today, she managed to build up quite a rap sheet, including multiple failures to appear to court and that sounds awfully immature. It also seems to indicate that one lacks some understanding of the system. In other words, stupid. Plenty of people with and without degrees are plenty stupid.
