Every second of every minute that Donald Trump Jr. has been alive on this planet he’s been the son of a billionaire. He’s led a life of luxury, traveled across the world to kill rare animals, dined on the finest foods, drank the finest wines, and never, ever worried about the lack of health insurance should one of his five kids get sick.

He never has to worry about whether he should pay his electric bill in lieu of eating or sift through the clothes at Goodwill in the hopes of looking good for that interview that will force him to buy gas he can’t afford for his clunker car.

You know, the things that so many of us have had to deal with at times in our lives.

But in an interview Tuesday night with Fox News host Sean Hannity, he said that while he is the “son of a billionaire” he is more in touch with the “pulse of the American people” than Congress is.

Yeah, right.

He was on Hannity’s show to give his impression of the Senate impeachment trial of his father for allegedly spurring the Jan.6 insurrection, where insurgents ransacked the Capitol in an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election, Newsweek reports.

Trump Jr. found common ground with Hannity’s assertion that Congress, rather than focusing on the impeachment, should instead spend time focusing on other issues like the vaccination rollout and job creation.

Trump’s eldest son then attempted to spin the Democrats as being lost in their own little world. At one point he talks about irony and that’s funny because I don’t think he understands it.

“As always, the Democrats are always overplaying their hand,” he said. “They don’t get it because they live in their little echo chambers. And I understand the irony of the son of a billionaire from Manhattan having a better pulse on the American people than the people chosen by those people to represent them in Congress, but the Congress is clueless…. because they have their lackeys in the media telling them about all their nonsensical attacks.”

I’m not going to beat around the bush here. The only people Donald Trump Jr. understands are the one percent. These are the only people he ever hangs around. He’s never lead a blue-collar or even a white-collar life. The only kind of collar he understands is the one that’s stiffly starched every single day by servants paid to do the uncomfortable jobs the rich don’t like to do.

Seriously. Don’t get me started on this. Donald Trump Jr. knows nothing about the real America — the one that labors and wipes the collective sweat from its brow while he sleeps or sits on a solid gold toilet.
