Melania Trump has taken a swipe at a CNN story that reported she was spending her days at a spa and that she was acting “bitter and chilly” towards her husband Donald Trump in the aftermath of the Jan. 6th siege at the Capitol building, MSN reports.

“Mrs. Trump is no longer First Lady. She is a private citizen, mother & wife,” the Office of Melania Trump tweeted as a response to the article. “Sources in this article are not affiliated [with] her nor have insight into her thoughts or daily life.”

The report that rankled is the one published within the past week which noted Melania was avoiding pretty much anything to do with politics now that she is resettled at Mar-a-Lago.

“She goes to the spa, has lunch, goes to the spa (again), and has dinner with Donald on the patio. Rinse and repeat. Every day,” CNN noted.

An additional source confirmed that Melania has an “affinity” for the spa and it’s become a regular part of her day. CNN’s report also noted that Melania turned “bitter and chilly” to Trump after the events unfolded in January because she blamed him for her damaged image among the public after the riots took place.

“She could see how it was going to go for her,” one former White House official purportedly told CNN, remarking on her delayed response to the Jan. 6th attack.

It took her at least five days to say anything about the riots, and when she finally did release a statement, she mostly defended herself against “salacious gossip” and “unwarranted personal attacks.”

She also broke with a time-honored White House tradition between outgoing and incoming administrations by not talking with or meeting Dr. Jill Biden, although she did leave a note.

But as I’ve noted numerous times, Melania is jealous of Jill Biden because she’s received so much positive attention from the media and the public.

Melania is pretty much only interested in Melania and the fact that she worried that her image was damaged in an attack where six people died pretty much tells you all there is to know about this woman. If she wants to end the media’s “unhealthy obsession” with her, creating an “Office” isn’t the way to do that.

And when her Office chided CNN on Twitter, folks had some thoughts:

If she wants to be only a private citizen, wife, & mother, then perhaps she shouldn’t have established an official Office of Melania Trump, and shouldn’t be using a fake Presidential Seal on the Twitter account of her official Office of Melania Trump.

Let's be honest with each other. She did nothing to shut her bullying husbands mouth and was as hidden from the public as any First Lady in my lifetime. She should probably drop the Great Seal of the United States from the Twitter page. She has no standing to use it.
