CPAC Rages At Hyatt For ‘Defamatory’ Comment About Stage Design Similar to Nazi SS Insignia

CPAC is not happy about the fact that people are pointing out that their stage design matched – exactly – an insignia used in Nazi Germany by SS troops. Earlier today, Hyatt Hotel put out a statement that it was deeply concerned about the design and would investigate how it happened and address the situation at that point.

CPAC reacted just as one would expect. They did not say that any similarities were entirely unintentional and that they apologize for any confusion and it was not their intention. No, instead, they played the victim and used the word… you knew it was coming, that they refused to be “canceled” by the politically correct segment of society. May we point out, there are only two possible responses, one is that it was not intentional and they apologize, or it was intentional and do not apologize. Because society need hardly explain why it would be upset by the use of a German SS insignia straight out of Nazi Germany. Given that the insignia is outlawed in Germany, are we to apologize for wanting it “canceled?”

CPAC’s statement reads in part: (Tweet Below)

Contrary to Hyatt’s own mission statement of inclusivity, your company just attacked its own customer by caving into the pressures of the politically motivated social media agitators who seek to destroy CPAC, our attendees and speakers from across the country, and the millions of Americans who support our work. Hyatt made a decision to issue additional statements late last night after the conference ended that disparaged and defamed us. These statements appear to validate demonstrably false and malicious claims.

No, actually they are not demonstrably false. They may be false, but they are not demonstrably false. And the people not apologizing for the, * ahem, *cough, similarities, are the ones being malicious.

When we learned of the orchestrated assault on us, we immediately contacted your senior management to set the record straight. Together, we quickly responded to these slanderous accusations. Your hotel’s senior management was on notice and acknowledged that these claims were false and agreed to share any statement before its release. We agreed that coordination was critical so that the general public would know the truth and that you would treat your customer with honesty. Thus, we were shocked that the Hyatt waited until after the conference concluded to issue additional statements–ones that are irresponsible, untrue, and contribute to a climate of division and hatred.

Seems like the irresponsible ones are the ones that created such a ridiculous design that fosters division and hatred.

The theme of CPAC 2021 was “America UnCanceled.” It is tragic and reckless that Hyatt would choose to abandon its own mission statement of inclusivity and play into the hands of those who are attempting to silence legitimate political views.

Fck off, CPAC. Haters get canceled by good people. It is called freedom, deal with it.
