Disgraced Papa Johns CEO Says He’s Been Working to Rid the ‘N-Word’ From His Vocab for the ‘Last 20 Months’

Some of us live with a simple rule regarding “bad words” and use of language. It may not work with everyone but does for us. “There are no bad words, only bad thoughts. One can use the poetry of Frost and yet say something vulgar.” All that means is there are some strong “swear words” that can be occasionally used if it’s not hurtful, more funny, and an appropriate situations.

But, there are obviously some words that are inherently evil and filled with pain. The “N-word” is the most obvious, for white people.

Some black people use the N-word in and among themselves. Many cultures have done the same with any racial slur. They take it on themselves to take some of the power away from the oppressors. The word is so inherently racist that at this point, any white person using it knows they do so with a proudly racist stance.

Former Papa John’s CEO John Schnatter was forced to resign after he was accused of using the N-word during a company conference call in May 2018. Think about that. Think about what kind of person would use that word, in this day and age, and use it during a company conference call. And yet Schnatter thinks all should be forgiven because, over the last 20 months, he’s been able to get over the habit of using such a hateful disgusting slur.

OAN spoke to Schnatter because, of course, they did. Schnatter was “canceled” and it was time to give the real victim here (the white guy) a chance to explain himself.

“I used to lay in bed thinking, how did they do this?”

WTF! “They?” What does that even mean?

And we’ve had three goals for the last 2 months to get rid of this N-word in my vocabulary, and dictionary, and everything else. Because it’s just not true. Figure out how they did this and get on with my life.”

What. The. Hell. is he talking about? It took 2o months to rid himself of the single most disgusting racial slur in this country? So, wait, which part is not true?

We invite you to see if you can make sense of this. All we see is a racist trying to figure out why he’s being penalized for his racism.
