Arizona GOP Election Official Calls Trump’s Deranged Post About Maricopa County Audit ‘Unhinged’

Most Americans, or at least half, always appreciated that a democratic country couldn’t survive unless people could agree to a set of settled facts. Indeed, in every White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner under Obama, President Obama always reiterated that a free press is called the “Fourth Estate” precisely because they function almost as a part of the government. People must “know” what is really happening to form a real opinion on anything.

The Republican party has been whittling away at that truth thing for a long time now, but Trump took it to Putin levels as president. After the voters deposed Trump, he’s only gotten worse. Today he put out this statement:

The entire Database of Maricopa County in Arizona has been DELETED! This is illegal and the Arizona State Senate, who is leading the Forensic Audit, is up in arms. Additionally, seals were broken on the boxes that hold the votes, ballots are missing, and worse. Mark Brnovich, the Attorney General of Arizona, will now be forced to look into this unbelievable Election crime…

Every single MAGA will believe it, or at least most, or at least believe it enough. Sometimes we’re of the opinion that they don’t even care anymore what is true and what isn’t. If it’s something they can argue, they’re happy enough. Power is the only goal.

And it’s one-hundred percent false, but you knew that. At least this time it was called out immediately as 100% false by a Republican who sounds pretty sick of this sh*t:

Republican Stephen Richer said that is not true. “I’m literally looking at our voter registration database on my other screen. Right now. We can’t indulge these insane lies any longer. As a party. As a state. As a country. This is as readily falsifiable as 2+2=5. If we don’t call this out…”

We will finish the sentence. That is the end of democracy.

Yeah, but most MAGAs are against the education establishment. Who says that the MAGAs believe that 2+2=5 is even false?
