Conservatives Going Nuts Over Kamala Harris’s Tweet, With Nikki Haley Saying She’s Unfit for Office

Vice President Kamala Harris put out a tweet the last Friday. She wished everyone a happy long weekend without mentioning that it was Memorial Day. It was bad that she didn’t include something about the purpose of Memorial Day. She made a mistake. (Many more including Haley, Fox Outrage):

That isn’t ideal. Given another shot, the Vice President of the country should have mentioned that it was Memorial Day and we have a “long weekend” because it is dedicated to those who lost their lives in preserving our freedoms around the world.

But if one listened to the paroxysms from the Right, one would think that Harris directly insulted the military just as a certain senator (Ted Cruz) did just recently. The tweet certainly does not render the Vice President “unfit” for office, as described by Nikki Haley:

Oh, shut up. Several people on Twitter immediately pointed to Haley’s obvious hypocrisy. Haley complained about spending her Fourth of July working while blaming it on North Korea. The problem is that she was the United States Ambassador to the United Nations at the time and one would think that sacrificing a few holidays went with the job. Moreover, she didn’t mention anything special about the day, only that she had to work:

So we would think that Haley doesn’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to tweets. At least Vice President Harris’s tweet wasn’t entirely self-centered. Nikki Haley focused solely upon her loss.

Steve Schmidt set forth how ridiculous the entire “controversy” had become and traced it back to its source, the source of just about all faux conservative outrage:

And with that, the internet went unglued:

And we will leave it with the above tweet, too, because it is simply perfect when talking about unfit to lead.
